Well I hate to do it but I'm putting up my lighting setup on the chopping black. Reason for selling is I want to upgrade to a 1D Mark IV and don't see myself using this equipment as much as I thought I would. 1. Paul C Buff Einstein E640 -$460 Comes with: -Einstein E640 unit -Power cord -Sync cable -7" Paul C. Buff… -
Bolsa Chica Gallery
I live quite near Bolsa Chica and about once or twice a month I shoot there. At present I do not have any serious long glass like so many of the photogs have there. Just the same I have been able to get some relatively good shots. I am presently using a Nikon D80 with the 18mm - 200mm VR 3.5-5.6 lens. Since this only comes… -
16 Man Elimination MMA
Last night was weigh ins at a bar in downtown SLC. Tonight is the tournament. This thing should be interesting. One 5min round, winner moves onto next bracket. Should be fast paced action and very cool. 16 guys with 1 winner. All fighters are 155-160lbs. Some shots from weigh-ins that also happened to involve a bikini… -
FS: canon eos 1v 35mm film slr
i'm selling a canon eos 1v 35mm film slr - body only - in excellent condition. i love this camera! it is 100% in working order, but the fact is that i don't use it any longer. it comes with: body cap, battery, strap, manual, and a bunch of (negative) film if you're interested in it. specs: this is canon's flagship film… -
Re: Ch 82. Goat Cheese
The cloth in the back was draped up like a seamless back ground. I had a makeshift light tent set up for some eBay pics I was doing and I decided to use it for this too. The "tablecloth" is really a yellow bedsheet. This was lit by 2 small camera flashes. One a canon 155 speedlight was in the rear backlighting the plate… -
Re: cards to take
Opps - sorry about that. You're right, I did translate the MP to "MB". Only 200 5D2 on an 8GB card? I'll have to go take a look at what I got on my 4GB from my last gig - I've still got the photos on the cards! EDIT: I looked and found two cards that I shot to capacity (from what I understand, not a good practice) and they… -
Re: What do you think about the Nikon 105 Macro?
Well, I don't know if you want to shoot with a MF or AF lens, but I'm using a Micro Nikkor 105/4 MF lens on my D100 (no meter) these days and find it's a real joy to shoot with. @ ~$155, it fit my budget quite well. You'll also hear many suggest that if you shoot micro on a tripod, MF is the way to go even if you're… -
Re: Scanning My Family's History
I am looking into a Slide Neg duplicator...they run about $55 and just screw on a 50 or 55 mm lens....... Used ones Waaay back when i was shooting tons of slides to make dupes to send to clients or prospects and it had a T-mount system that was popular with Tamron's Adaptall aline of lenses..but it was not tamron it was… -
Re: FS: 5d (x2), 24 1.4L, 100 2.8 macro, 70-200 2.8 IS, and more!
just in case the above is confusing, what i have left: 5d $1185 ($1150 if paid w/ cash/check) price reflects discount. there is a spot visible through the viewfinder. it is NOT on the sensor, and it doesn't show up on the images, so i don't know where it is. it should be sent in to canon, but i am too lazy, so instead i… -
Re: Andy/Baldy - feed me
I can't be hungry and last. That's one thing about Fuhrman, he's a better man than I am if he can eat low calorie meals 3 times a day and that's it. I snack between meals all day long, it seems. And sometimes I'm not satisfied with a snack of veggies or fruit -- I want whole grain bread and hummus or some kind of nut…
