Re: Blurb Book - Outstanding!
I've made a 11x13 book as a gift for a friends wedding and everyone was pleased with the book. (http://www.blurb.com/books/110966) I've also made the 8x10 size book. (http://www.blurb.com/books/283960) I did have some issues with some of the pictures in that book. In the first book the pictures were ok, but in the re-print… -
Re: Polarizer filter
Thanks for the info, Charles. I dropped by SJ Camera today and they had Hoya and B+W in stock. Hoya was about $60 and the B+W was $180! I asked the salesdrone what the difference was and he said the B+W was much better glass and much smoother to use, while the Hoya was "junk made in Thailand or Indonesia or some place like… -

Bright Lights, Big City
I got me new camera and went out shooting at night for the first time. I can say I am quite happy with the results. What f-stop do you recommend for shooting at night, esp. for far away objects like city skylines? I used 5.4 with iso100 for all shots. Any comments on the exposure on the ones below? I shot raw. Photos have… -

Oklahoma City National Memorial (long and BWW)
What a very sad and sobering trip. :cry Descriptions are taken from the memorial website.Gates of Time These monumental twin gates frame the moment of destruction - 9:02 and mark the formal entrances to the Memorial. Re: Assignment #4: Stone
I'm confused, Which Stone? I googled 'stone' and top listing is "1 stone = 6.35029318 kilograms" So should I shoot something that is 14 pounds? Does that include something that cost 14 pounds? If I shoot something 28 pounds would that be something that is too stoned? If I shoot pebbles, wouldn't Fred and Wilma get mad?… -
Re: Action! (finally)
Good tips and assessment of the PJ style shooting. Correct me if I am wrong here (as I rely on your experience here) but I am thinking that Sportraits are something that maybe would be done more so after you have collected the larger lions share of the T&I images......? And if I put together a sportrait, of which I am sure…
