Re: Commercial License Price Help
Yes this great guy assisted me. In thanks I gave him a 12x24 Styrene backed image similar, but different to what I gave my spouse. And to set the record straight... this image is not collecting dust on my hard drive.... it is on display at the local co-op gallery that I am an active member of and available for sale on my… -
Re: Keywords and the Lightroom Smugmug plugin
Thanks and some more keyword changing tests Hi Teach, Thanks for the fast and specific replies! Re 3) I had not viewed that Help page but have read it now. I guess that a part of my point was that the Help for SmugMug Browse is targeted more at owners than visitors looking at photos. The visitors would have to be very… -
Re: How to price touch up addition work with prints
I use to just use windows picture viewer and a piece of paper and a pen, go through the pictures and write down the ones they liked, give them a short break while I moved the selected pictures to a folder and go through them again to narrow it down to the ones they really like, while trying to keep it to 40 or more. :) I… -
Re: is it upgrading or downgrading?
I'm gonna play devil's advocate here and say that yeah, you could be a lot happier as a hobbyist landscape photographer if you got yourself a 60D and some different lenses. Personally for outdoor adventure / "vista" photography, I'd recommend the 15-85mm Canon lens, it's pretty dang awesome how they've managed to cram a… -

A week in Madrid (warning - lots of pictures!)
In November of this past year we took a somewhat spur-of-the-moment trip to Madrid. It didn't take us very long to fall in love with this magnificent city. I apologize in advance - this isn't a particularly "artistic" set of photos, just my impressions of our few days. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and after checking in… -
Night Shot Post Processing
Night Shot Post Processing Hey guys.... my good friend and fellow photographer Florindo Gallicchio was out night shooting recently. Hey now, nothing wrong with this, but .... well Florindo wanted some more "pop" and he wanted it not to be so brownish-green. Let's take a look at what I did with the image. Florindo sent me… -
Re: Warning - Sports related Rant -
The confessions of a PWAC.. I am a PWAC, I don't like those acronyms at all but I will say I am that. I have two daughters that dance competitively and wanted to get pictures of them doing it. The point and shoot cameras did nothing for me and really I didn't understand them. I could never get an action shot and it was… -
Re: Various pricing and sizes on a site
Oh wow. I really just rambled on and vented on my last post, didn't edit it all before submitting and didn't bother reading Glort's response until now. I'm thankful he wrote it. To Glort and Cygnus Studios... am I over-complicating things? Most likely. I look at those that are saying I should figure out my CODB, hourly…
