the same way i would react if using a desktop and it was hit by an electrical spike...When shooting film I only had one copy..the neg or transparency (60's to early 90's)....when I went digital I had a compact sized computer..so I learned the value of backing up everything...actually i learned that back in the late 70's… -
Re: When presenting your work to a new prospect
I haven't used albums in years. Matter of fact I threw them all out in a cleanup earlier this week. I do slide shows either on the computer or when I go to visit the clients I have been taking a portable DVD player or put the disk in their player. I prefer slide shows simply because they allow far greater emotional viewer… -

Re: 7D as a wedding camera?
Geez, what the hell is it with photographers?? I remember this same argument 20 years ago with guys using " Blads and Rollies. We arrived midnight… -

My ride with mom today
"Some people will tell you that slow is good -- and it may be, on some days -- but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I've always believed this, in spite of the trouble it's caused me. Being shot out of a cannon will always be better than being squeezed out of a tube. That is why God made fast motorcycles,… -
Re: Why so much?
Hmh, interesting thread. It would certainly be nice if some of the higher end lenses were a bit less expensive - I think the extra numbers sold might compensate for the lower initial profit. However, there are some bargains to be had. The Canon 50 1.8 (about £70 in the UK) is fantastic for the price - I wish that their… -
