Re: How to Keep Camera Stationary w/Heavy Lens?
You are talking about torque... I am guessing that you are talking about the camera twisting on the tripod screw by the torque of the heavier lens pulling it down. This is a very common problem but, thankfully there are simple solutions IF you are using either a Manfrotto head with a RC2 Quick release system or are using a… -
Re: Maintenance Alert: 8/28 10:00pm - 06:00am PDT
Painfully slow (Overseas) For the past 24 hours, the site has been painfully slow. I am not writing for myself, but also on behalf of all my buddies here in HK who have signed up to smugmug due to my recommendation. It takes over a min for the site to respond at times. And sometimes, simply time out. I know overseas… -
Re: you'll love this...which is the REAL photo?
You sure are bouncing around with your questions. There is no "real, or absolute" definition of a limited edition photograph. I've shot with both for 27 years as a Pro. Still have my 4x5 and a dozen lenses, but clients ask for it less and less. I just delivered my… -

A Month Downunder - Part 2
After arriving in Sydney on a Sunday morning at 7:00 am, I made my way to my apartment in Parramatta, which luckily was about two blocks from the Rose Hill Train Station. Although I should have been exhausted and jet lagged, I did a little research and decided to head south to Kiama. Kiama is a township approximately 120… -
