Re: My one day journey
Next I place I visited was the Badshahi Masjid in Thatta. First let me share the background of Thatta. The name Thatta appears for the first time in famous explorer Ibne Batuta’s works It reached its zenith during the days of Sama dynasty during which it became a flourishing city. In 1699 A.D., Captain Alexander Hamilton… -
Re: Dell has released two new IPS monitors
Yes, this was about 3 or 4 years ago. Dell & HP were both caught but way more mud was thrown at Dell and less so at HP. Both companies had a 20" 4:3 monitor (the 2007FP and LP2065) that came to market with a similar S-IPS panel. Later production units of the Dell were supplied with S-PVA panels and HP subbed A-MVA panels.… -
Re: SOLD: Zuiko f/4 7-14mm, practically unused (maybe 5 mounts, 50 snaps), spotless
OK, I'm back. Subject was what price I would want for my hardly used Zuiko f/4 7-14mm ED. As previously posted, here, I figure it's been mounted maybe 3-5 times, 30-50 snaps at most. Purchased new from B&H when I bought my Oly E-3 in 2/08. Unwise exuberance, very expensive paperweight. Lens is in flawless condition, only… -

Re: Hockey shots - crtique/advice needed
My thoughts on ice hockey I have been shooting youth hockey for the last four years and it is probably the hardest activity to shoot. Here are my thoughts: - Forget about setting white balance on the camera. As many rinks have the lights that cycle frequency, you will never get consistent shots, even using a custom WB… -

Re: Shooting Food/Restaurant & Costs
Shooting on location is tough. First you have multiple light sources to deal with. You may also have to deal with various people that aren't necessary (customers and those who are just wanting to watch). Then you have factors like the chef (if they are not the stylist) deciding things go one way and someone else wanting… -
Re: Crit requested
Thanks to all who contributed to this thread! I did not expect quite the level of some of the discussion that has appeared here. Any of us who post on Dgrin could be targeted for just being what they are. We are all different, and difference alone is trigger enough for some to attack. Needless to say, I am aware that the… -

Things Cops Know
Things Cops Know When you see an emergency vehicle behind you with its lights and sirens on pull to the RIGHT, and Stop. We are required to pass cars on the left. When you're driving in the fast lane and you see a cop behind you don't, go 5 mph's under the speed limit. We are not impressed by how safe of a driver you can…
