Re: Does Smugmug consider this security issue a bug?
Just my .00005 cents worth here as i was reading this and I figure that between 90 & 97% of the people using SmugMug know a lot more about building and configuring a website than I do...hence one reason I have not done any actual site customizing yet..... Okay I want to password protect a gallery....as I am reading down… -
Re: Need Sugestions on Roadtrip to Jasper National Park, Canada
Hi Here are my suggestions for the Jasper to Vancouver leg of your trip. There are several different routes you can take from Jasper. 1. Highway 5 from Jasper to Vancouver - I haven't driven this road for a long time, but iirc, this isn't a very interesting drive. 2. Double back from Jasper to Lake Louise and take the… -
FS: Olympus, Leica, Books
[FONT="]Time to clean out came and went about 12 months ago but better late than never. I’ll try to broadly categorize to make it simple. Glass Olympus 21/3.5 with original hood, lens cap and back cap. Also included are EF lens mount adapater and Canon back cap. I bought this a few years ago from Mike Hatam when he… -
Winner of Mini 97 (self portraits)
Really enjoyed heading up this round. Here goes--I will do a quick comment on the entries. WhatSheSaw--this one is my favorite one from your entries. Love the silhouette and the blue color along with your title. I also think your current entry in the "knowledge" challenge is very strong and made me laugh out loud. Joe:… -
Re: Wow! I need a new monitor!
Don't bother - a 6bit "TN" panel, suspect sRGB coverage, viewing angle issues Not too bad a choice but be aware that it is a "Wide Gamut" monitor. Do you work in the AdobeRGB or ProPhotoRGB color spaces? If you don't, then stick to a standard sRGB color space monitor. Your life will be a lot simpler and less stressful.… -
Re: Your recommended monitor??
Ah... a laptop. Not quite what I envisioned when you said you had a PC. A number of recent laptops are shipping with a mini-DisplayPort as it is high bandwidth connector that allows for the the high resolution of 27" 2560x1440 to be driven by the GPU. Ditto for 30" 2560x1600 monitors. You need either a DisplayPort or a… -
Re: A Trip Too Small: Fiji, New Zealand, and Some More
The next day we woke up still exhausted. We gradually gained some momentum and packed up camp and made it back out the three and a half miles to the road, and then we headed down to the main Yosemite Valley to find some cheap camping and hit some famous climbs. Tracy and I elected to take a rest day to try to recover, and… -

Camping Lab Roof Top Tent Reveiw
My wife Cindy and I have been on the road for almost 4 years now. We've been in our 25' Sunline travel trailer the entire time. There have been times we wanted to leave the camper behind and explore areas more remote or off the beaten path. Not wanting to rough it too much, I mean we are pretty used to this Glamping… -
Re: new photo processing computer ...
Correct - the iMac and Cinema Display monitors more or less cover the sRGB colour space. They are NOT considered to be wide gamut monitors. Depending on $$ budget and what color space you wish to stay in, there are several options for monitors. The good news is that today you have more choice than 2 years ago. Monitors you…
