Re: Dell XPS Ultrabook
ASUS UX32VD ultrabook, 13.3" IPS screen, 96-98% sRGB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230670 http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Asus-Zenbook-UX32VD-Ultrabook.75591.0.html Most listing show it coming with 4G RAM but it is fairly easy to upgrade it yourself to, I think, 10G or 12G RAM. . -
Re: Add border around new style Smugmug slide show
Thanks again, Mike. That almost worked. But for some reason, I've lost the drop shadow along the bottom. It is as if it has been cut off. Tried playing with the margins, and max width, but to no avail. Went back to the code above, added the max-width=96 and all is working well now. Thanks for the help. Really appreciated. -
Re: Premier Pro CS3 | Can't capture footage from camcorder
I'm pretty sure you need a firewire cable to capture video. None of the cams I know of will do it through USB (though that may have changed). EDIT: For fun I looked at the manual... it does seem to imply that USB is allowed: Attachment not found. http://resources.jvc.com/Resources/00/00/96/LYT1106-001E.pdf -
Re: Smugmug Original Size Digital Sales
Is the download for screen display or printing? Your screen is set to display so many dots per inch, If your screen is set to 96 dpi a photo 960 pixels wide will show as 10" wide on your screen. For printing all you have to worry about is it an 8x10 crop ratio with enough pixels that will print nicely at 8x10. -
DSS#96 Choices for Comment
Took some shots under the 660m long Tologa Bay Wharf - trying with different processing as while like the colour for the vanishing point, prefer black & white for the close columns. Also playing round with different processing - like the Grundge but not sure if bit overprocessed? #1 Colour #2 Desaturated #3 Grundge… -

Re: the dgrin game - post your comments here!
I'm told those two were taken two years apart (2006; 2008). Yet only about 20 feet apart. I almost posted one that looked 99% identical to Richard's, but then thought one 96% identical would suffice, you know, so it was "associated." My story is I was going for a similar theme in the sky. That was it. The sky. -
Re: Is this worth it, or too cheap and nasty?
I bought a 'whack' (several yards) of black polar fleece material. It s 60" wide so I sewed two strips together to get 120" in width and 96" in length. You can't even notice the seam in the background. The polar fleece absorbs light, is totally washable, doesn't wrinkle and makes a great black backdrop. The downside is…
