Re: Keeping business and personal separate
OK, I'm stumped... I can't figure out how to hide a category. Galleries, yes, as they get a unique id for their divs (and I've seen it in the page source). Categories do not seem to get a unique id... Code for the categories on the homepage looks like this... [HTML]<div class="miniBox"> <div class="photo"> <a… -
Re: External hard drive connected to camera?
I would recommend at least a couple 4Gb cards so you can swap out during the day. I currently use a 4GB in my 30D and have a 2GB backup card. If I fill the 4GB, I switch to the 2GB and plug the 4GB into my Wolverine FlashPac 7000 (60GB version), put it in my bag and let in copy the images while I continue to shoot. It's… -
Re: WTB: B+W filters
I've bought B+W filters from hvstar.net several times with complete satisfaction. Orders usually processed in a couple days. Air mail takes another week to cross the Pacific. Their products are genuine. Ordering the B+W 77mm and 72mm MRC UV 010 alloy ring filters from hvstar will cost you $86 ($49+$37) plus $19 for… -
Re: LensAlign...
Welcome to Dgrin! I got my LAPro recently, but haven't had a chance to put it to the test yet -- I'm especially interested in calibrating some very long lenses, and it's too cold here in NY to bother with for now. Your "challenge' is very interesting and I hope that someone provides you with the address you asked for -- it… -
Re: compact flash card 7 D
Uuuuum, it entirely depends upon the device and your application for the device, as well as certain mixes of the device and card. Manufacturer ratings are often exaggerated and/or misleading. Empirical testing is the only reliable measure for transfer speed. For instance, if you can trust this site:… -
Re: DGrin Shootout 2009 -- Transportation Thread
Since you live on the coast, I would suggest traveling through the mountains. A suggested route: Take I-93 through Franconia Notch and turn right onto Rt 3 over to Rt 302. Take 302 through Bretton Woods and Crawford Notch. Left onto Rt 16 in Glen up through Mt. Washington Valley to Rt 2 in Gorham. If you like driving back… -
Re: New to DSLR and needing some help.
Well I think I like the idea of getting the same lens for parts on ebay I've seen them fairly cheap. I felt like I got a great deal with the lens it's perfectly functional. Just don't like the end of it always being open and would like the option to put a lens cap on it. This puts me at having the 75-300mm af, a 55 - 250mm… -
Re: HTML5 Slideshows - Very Cool
Hello! A tricky situation! On my website http://www.horsian.com/index.php horses (stolen, missing etc.) are posted with photos. The photos of these horses are currently also stored in this SmugMug gallery http://horsian.smugmug.com/Horse-Search/Horsian/13214195_DQfsi#959677706_ArbvT. I have shared the… -
Re: Videos, firefox, and smugmug style
Yep, something wrong somewhere, the error meter went off the clock ... 700 errors and counting... This is the error. Bad NPObject as private data! getVersion(function())yui_core-min-2007... Re: The case of the missing 20D
No idea. Just as stumped as everyone else. It still shows up at the Canadian and other country sites. A seach at the US site pulls up a hybrid page, but now lists September 2005 as debut date for the 20Da. But the picture shows a 20D, the title says 20D, and the blurb below is the same text as the 20D page used to be. So…
