Re: The Car Talk Thread
Anybody have any thoughts on the following tires: Hankook Ventus RS-2 in 245/45-16 Fuzion ZRi in 245/45-16 Yokohama ES100 in 245/45-16 the following are all 245/50-16 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Kelly Fierce UHP Cooper Zeon XS2 Bridgestone RE960AS Right now I've got 245/50-16 Michelin Pilot Sport… -

Hmmm, I see. Ok, so no staggered setup. What do you think about the improvements from going to 245/45 from 245/50? I figure a slight increase in acceleration and a slight increase in sidewall stiffness, but is it so slight that it doesn't matter and I should ignore that 3 of the tires can be had in 245/45 while the rest… -

For ol' Blue (my hot-rodded 1985 Benz S-Class). Cost, wear, bah humbug! I'm actually thinking I may go with the Toyo T1R. Cooper dealer said he couldn't in good conscience sell me the Coopers. My drive is… -

Driving into work this morning, my new Prius started beeping at me. As you can probably guess, there's a million and one things that could go wrong with that car, so I'm on the freeway, looking around like crazy, trying to figure out WTF is wrong, no lights are lit...it keeps beeping...I finally figure out that it's trying… -
Re: The Car Talk Thread
That's one reason I would avoid the older NAs, the AC is harder to re-charge... can't remember when that changed, 92-93? Yep, sounds like a used lemon. I commute 10 miles each way, but it's a 40-45 minute drive! The good thing is I get to take Mulholland Drive and twisty backroads of Bel-Air. Perfect for this car. Yeah,… -
Re: The Car Talk Thread
Well...I was under general anesthesia yesterday. BUT, yes you have to make a slight glance in all road cars, but because of that up top speedo hump your eyes are going to be higher than it would otherwise be, which means you're looking down more than you would in most other cars (you want everything as close to your line…
