Re: Andy/Baldy - feed me
I can't be hungry and last. That's one thing about Fuhrman, he's a better man than I am if he can eat low calorie meals 3 times a day and that's it. I snack between meals all day long, it seems. And sometimes I'm not satisfied with a snack of veggies or fruit -- I want whole grain bread and hummus or some kind of nut… -
Re: Scanning My Family's History
I am looking into a Slide Neg duplicator...they run about $55 and just screw on a 50 or 55 mm lens....... Used ones Waaay back when i was shooting tons of slides to make dupes to send to clients or prospects and it had a T-mount system that was popular with Tamron's Adaptall aline of lenses..but it was not tamron it was… -
Re: FS: 5d (x2), 24 1.4L, 100 2.8 macro, 70-200 2.8 IS, and more!
just in case the above is confusing, what i have left: 5d $1185 ($1150 if paid w/ cash/check) price reflects discount. there is a spot visible through the viewfinder. it is NOT on the sensor, and it doesn't show up on the images, so i don't know where it is. it should be sent in to canon, but i am too lazy, so instead i… -
Re: Catalog and Edit
Correct. With tape based video acquisition, "auto-logging" software works pretty well when you have either a camera start-stop signal or time code interruption. Scene based auto-detect, auto-logging software largely does not work. By the time you set sensitivity high enough to detect actual scene changes, any camera… -
Re: Dumb APS-c vs FF question
You would lose a lot of pixels cropping a 5DII image to APS-C size. The crop factor does not apply to MP, it applies to effective focal length. APS-C (328 mm^2) has about 38% of the area of FF (864mm^2), thus the 50D has a much higher pixel density than 5DII (0.456 MP/mm^2 vs. 0.243). So if you crop FF down to equivalent… -

Re: Cool Yule Catchup - Motorcycle Racing Roundup
Thanks Rags and all.. I'm happy that folks have caught the feeling I've always tried to get across. I've always been worried less about thinking "wow what a cool photo" than making sure that people that couldn't get to see what I see, or maybe have a curious interest in this sport, might get some insight into another… -
Re: Customers have to sign up with SM to order cards???
Ah... so I create the card ahead of time? They don't create it themselves using our photos? Hmm that's different. I thought I'd see a "Buy a Card" option under the Buy button. No offense Andy, but this seems like a strange way to offer cards to clients. Most services allow customers to choose the photo they want on the…
