Re: Panoramic in church - Setubal Portugal
I am sorry but they couldn't come and here I am for a while. Thank you Richard for your opinion. Nikolai, Richard and Gary. Good afternoon. How do you do ? I want to thank you for the comments. I am always eager of critiques and comments, which makes us to improve. As a matter of fact, IMHO, the photo I posted is supposed… -
Re: Anyone using the Sigma 24-70 HSM?
Update Thanks guys. (this is copied from post on potn) Pulled the trigger.... finally. It was a tough decision as to what best suited my needs. I shoot mostly natural light, running and cycling events for $ and then landscapes and general fun stuff. Shoot a 7d and 450d, 70-200 Tam, Sig 28 1.8, Can 100 macro, and just sold… -
Re: High in the Arctic !! Eskimo....
Now we have a piece of balleen (bracelet piece). We have cut out an oval to insert another oval into this empty hole. The same steps are used: draw the (shape) on the piece of ivory and cut it out and smooth it. Each of these images are self explanatory- just look - carefully and you will see how easy it is to accomplish… -

7/25/2006 9:26:53 PM Climbing crew of seven arrived at the Mt. St. Helens climbers bivouac from Bremerton Washington at about 8:30 pm, a four hour drive (including a stop for a fast dinner). Setup tents right away. Stars were bright along with a few shooting stars. What a difference it makes to get away from city lights!… -
Making a FAST card reader for less! (compact flash)
I get excited about this stuff and I must share. You can have a super fast CF card reader/writer for around $20-40 (depending on your setup), that performs as well or better than firewire 800 readers! Want that? Want to learn a bit more about computers in (mostly) common man's language so you know what you really need?… -
Re: Jigsaw Puzzle Project - environmental portraits
Cuong – Thank you. Susan – Thanks so much, glad you’ve enjoyed it. I’m not sure what I’ll do next, but after processing all these color images, I might have to switch back to black & white for a while. Also I think it’s important for me to keep using and building upon what I learned, so it doesn’t all leak out, you know?… -
Re: Subjective WB Question
Here's some non-subjective input based on numbers. In image #1, I put sample points in four places to sample the color values, two on her face, one on the white lettering on the uniform and one on her dark shirt right above the red vneck. I then switched the color sampler for the two points on the face to show me CMYK… -
Re: Justi's Abrasive LPS Critique thread
#28 Hamster- After hours Theme: Looks sinful to me. Aesthetics: There is a lot I dig about this. The red cast is a good choice. The DOF keeps you wondering about the contents of that screen. The wedding ring, classic. This is a good shot. But for god's sake man, isn't it time to upgrade that Mac? #29 Sherstone- Reverend… -
Re: China October 2011
Following the shopping area it was time to go look at a silk shop. We were on a tour and this is one of the prices you pay for traveling with a tour group. However we were interested in looking for another silk comforter cover and were interested in what the shop might offer. The visit began with the usual “how silk is… -
>>> LPS#10 Feedback thread
This is getting harder, I selected 34 photos the first time through. And the last pass was hardest of all. Really nice work in getting the idea of Surf or Turf across to the viewer. One word of warning though, many are slipping back to using the theme words in the title: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=67646 It is…
