Re: Importing from Flickr without mangling tags?
The trouble with both programs is that they're grabbing the data by using flickr.photosets.getPhotos and requesting tags as an extra. That gives a response like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?><rsp stat="ok"> <photoset id="72157600005068570" primary="5099085311" owner="35034347215@N01" ownername="3e" page="1"… -

Hiking around Kazbegi, Georgia (Very large post)
One of my trips while in Georgia was to the mountain town of Kazbegi (now renamed Stepantsminda). It is famous for the Georgian writer Alexander Kazbegi, the Tsminda Sameba church as well as the 5,047 meter (16,558 feet) high Mt. Kazbek. Mt. Kazbek, an extinct volcano, is around 160 kilometers (100 miles) to the south-east… -

A Trip to get Pumpkins!
It has been a long time since I have posted here and almost as long since I have snapped a photo. I finally got back out and into the groove this weekend. My girlfriend, her friend, her friend's boyfriend and I decided to get together on a "double date" and go pick some pumpkins. We met up at a local college and drove an… -
Springtime in Texas--Wildflower Road Trip
We took advantage of beautiful springtime weather and a day off from work & school to go on a Wildflower Road trip this past Friday (Good Friday). The wildflowers were the best I've seen them in a long long time and the weather was just perfect. I hope you enjoy the flowers from the day. I live in Central Texas so we… -
Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge
Today I spent the day hiking and photographing in the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife refuge. This was the first time I visited the place and I was surprised about where it was located. The Arsenal was a WWII through Cold War era chemical weapons manufacturing facility. It was decommissioned in the mid '80's and… -
Best event Sale
Did another double event on the weekend, a Jamboree. Was a damn hot weekend, temps approaching 40oC and most of the time having no choice but to stand in the sun for hours. In the usual last minute rush, one of our good regulars came over to the computers and was there for over half an hour. I saw him come to the trailer… -

Smugvault vs.
I am planning to upgrade my offsite storage, to a 'cloud' based solution. Today, my offsite storage involves a 'traveling hard drive' that I use periodically at home, then store at my office. I have been examining other options, and settled on two: SmugVault (basically same as S3/Jungledisk), or Mozy. I would go with Mozy…
