I thought I'd give this another go. I forgot to get the EXIF data for it though, so as close as I can remember, this was about a 24mm focal length, aperture at about 5, and ISO set to 225 (I think).
Regards,
Jen

Thank you Jen, much better!
My only problem I can't see even a single part in focus

Oh good! I'd been thinking about this shot for a month, all the while reading for your responses to other posts to determine if it'd fulfill the assignment. I was still uncertain at the time I'd posted it.
Thank you, Nikolai! If you only knew how thrilled I am that it worked! :ivar

This is a shot of a wood carving of Noah's Ark. Not sure if it meets the requirement of only having the most important part of the subject in focus, but I am considering the whole model as the subject. I shot this through a glass display case with no flash, just the display lighting. No PP. I thought the lighting really made this shot interesting.
Taken with D300 and Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC HSM hand held
Shutter 1/25
f/2.5
ISO 800
This is another model at the exhibit. Hand held, same lens, no flash, no PP.
Shutter 1/25
f/3.2
ISO 800
BTW, for an noob like me, these assignments are awesome. Photography has quickly become a passion for me and finding these assignments gives my shooting some purpose, rather than just taking random pictures. I really appreciate the time you all take to make this such a wonderful learning experience.

Thank you... I'm glad you like them. And thank you for providing me with these excellent challenges.
I just got LR 2.0 so I may practice using the cool new adjustment brush to fix the blown out highlight at the top of the first Panda's head in the second shot.

Yes - I'm still working on the technical stuff :P, and I was so excited that I didn't put my tripod up. I'll try again tonight after work.
