I live on an island. Other then the slow-moving seasons, there's not much variation in the scenery. Except, that is, for the skies. And this past month we have had some amazing cloudy days. So I want to start a thread and invite everyone to post their favorite cloud pictures. I'll start.

At the end of that pond you can see a tiny sliver of beach. The beach end of the pond is only about 30 yards from the Atlantic Ocean. And once every 2-3 yrs a big storm will hit and the pond will breach and become brackish as the salt water rushes in. It usually heals itself pretty quickly, and is, overall, a good thing for the health of the pond, but the perch don't seem to enjoy it.

I was ridng on Rt212 when I saw a black wall in front of me. If you have ever been on 212 it is in middle of knowhere and I had no choice but to go in, "gulp". The look on the truckers face's whom had pulled over to wait until the storm passed were priceless as this nut on his motorcycle cluelessly road thru. lol!!! Later in my hotel room the news showed two twisters from this that had touched down in Billings.
Wow, nice shot! I have been wanting to play around with HDR but have yet to do so. How many exposures is this? My Canon 50D is only setup to take 3 shots in AEB but I hear you can get around that.
This shot was taken with a 7D, canon 24-105 f/4L lens with only 3 exposures. i can do more but have not yet done HDR with more than 3. No doubt more is better but I didn't have a tripod for this so 5 might have been too many. I wish there was no glow around those 2 buildings too - I could probably Photoshop some of that out.
With your 50D you can get around it for scenic shots quite easily but you will have to do it the manual way of setting the different exposures - doing this twice will give you 6 shots. Not sure of another way around the problem. I wouldn't worry too much though, 3 shots is enough in 90%+ of cases imo.
