Hope you got out of the way before you got run over!!! Thank God for LONG lenses...
No long lens here 17 mm, he was that close . He had a line to follow and me with a hay bale as padding incase of a mishap ,did catch the bars on my rite arm one time.. this was a 2 hour shoot and the entire track at our disposal .. So please don't try this during a regular race
A photo opportunity
Hi everyone from a SmugMug newbie. Here is one of my favorites from 2008. I took it at a practice round for the Ryder Cup. There were a few other photographers there.
Hard to pick one, but I'll have to go with this one since it was my 1st game to shoot my new D3. Who'd of ever thought you'd be able to shoot H.S. Football at night without a flash.

I hear what you're saying. However, the only 'photographer' I see has, what looks to be three cameras, yet none of them are up to his eye.
In this way it will look more like a single image. The text book way to blend images together is to use the gradient tool on the edge of each image and then blend them together - the quick and easy way to to use the eraser tool set to soft edge and make the brush very large and run that down the edge of each image, You may need to add a background layer to take out any gaps in the blended edged - use a green sample d from your image
Also depending on how anal you ( I am extremely anal , as you can see...sorry) I would line up the the yellow of e fence to make sure it is a straight line and then I would use the clone tool to make the edge of the sand one continuous line.
Thanks for sharing and I hope you find this constructive and not critical.
Here is one of my best. I captured this during the NBC World Series last year. He did hold onto the ball for the out. You can see the rest of the series of shots here
I took This shoot during a session on the north of Spain, country where i live in. In that time i was shooting with a D2Xs and the 10,5mm into an AQUATECH PRO HOUSING. That day the waves took me out of the shooting point into the sand for several times, so i had to swim into the break point across the current again and again. I was thinking to decline when i had this opportunity and i shoot for three times. The second was this. Hope you´ll like it. Finally it was a very productive shot for me, the most of this year i think...
Pablo - that is spectacular!!! I honestly believe going outside normal shooting conditions is where we get spectacular photos as everyone knows it's sooo hard to get such a photo.

Morning all,
My best pictures of the season I think are these:
Northampton Saints' wing, Chris Ashton scores against Toulon in the European Challenge Cup
Paul Diggin, Lee Dickson and Ben Foden celebrate Foden's winning try vs Leicester Tigers in the Guinness Premiership
Both of the above taken without flash under floodlights.:D

Not the best quality, everything was still on auto as I headed into the dugout...but I certainly was in the right place at the right time!

You have a really amazing shot there, MrV.

I like the idea but if I may make a suggestion: blend the edges of the images together - you can see the technique on this collage, even though it is a dog!! http://digitalphotoconcept.smugmug.com/gallery/4299231_ASyW9#254842627_BsvRT-A-LB

I took this with a camera I borrowed from someone who was trying to start a photography business. It's my niece.
How I miss sports photography! I'm working up the money to get an e-520 right now.
Shot my first Lacrosse match today. It won't be my last. Plenty of action shots.

Fantastic shot!
