Next stop Denver just an overnight stop to pickup the Rental RV, but we did manage get a good meal at the Mercury Cafe, organic food, (very tasty) organic beers and juices, friendly service and live music thumb.gif

and the RV at Moturis, our home for the next week

From Denver we headed West on the I70 up over the rockies, it rained, snowed and was shrouded in mist. Not great photo conditions and we were on a bit of a schedule.

We camped the first night in a place called Rifle Falls and arrived just after dark, hooking up the RV for the first time in the dark and rain was an experience in itself. Here's a few pix from our morning walk

Wow, what an awesome thread so far . . . . NYC, food, horses, waterfalls, wow - what's next? Can't wait.

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

Everyday sight for you guys but UK trucks are smaller and seem to lack the personality of USA trucks, so my apologies if your wondering why I took this one

Gus, I really didn't want to give it back :D We tried to find one on our last Monday in SF but 3 out of 3 shops were on back order. Mrs G has ordered one for me as a b/day pressie so it should arrive this week although I probably won't get my grubby mitts on it for another week :cry

Mate i dont drink so i hope i get it right but i think it was butterscotch shnapps on the bottom...bailys irish cream in the middle & conteau on the top.

They take this very seriously....until they get to the 12 th & then you do the mix in your mouth straight from the bottle.

We turned off the I70, passed through a small town called cisco (would have liked to have stopped there) before taking Highway 128 down to Moab
