I used to subscribe to the entry thready just to be me reminded to shoot my picture already ... how can I get notified when someone adds an entry to the gallery? :cry
Yeah, sorry about that. I guess you'll just have to visit the gallery more often. Heck, make it your home page.

I'm almost there But how about RSS feeds for galleries on sm?

you forgot to put your username in the caption. (I fixed it for you)
And to reiterate, you don't have to post the photo here.
So i'm all confused. I see it after posting, but....
It's all good, what's the problem?
*Could I ask you to try and lump your thoughts/posts together a bit? Trying to keep this thread a bit shorter is nice for n00bs - wading through multiple posts/pages is intimidating. thanks

Big Sister Cooking Lesson
Note: This photo is not an entry. This photo is me indulging myself in photography for a moment (imagine that!).
Dang! It's been so long since I posted a shot here, I had to think twice about what I was doing! Gimme a critique, oh guest judge of the round. Don't hold back now (not that I thought you would!).
It's a very sweet pic. I just can't get over how big she is now. And what a beautiful head of blonde hair!
Now back to the pic. I like the choice of B&W and the pose of the little one with the way she's keeping her one pantleg out of the mud whilst the other is left dangling in it. You can clearly see that the older one is focused on her mud pie but wish I could see more of her creation. Then again, her "dough" may have just been a bit too runny. This one's a keeper, one that you all will cherish through the years. I'm glad you were able to catch them at a candid moment because it's the candidness that makes the photo all the more precious.
I love your photo and the B&W treatment. The candidness and authenticity it displays is wonderful. Clearly, sisters and friends, and the young one is fully engaged in what her older sister is doing. I absolutely love it.
[Please let me know if this sort of post is helpful, or interesting, or if I'm way off base. i'd love to see what kind of processing/adjustments someone might recommend for some of my photos - and wonder if a thread along those lines would be of interest...]
Hi Benjer,
I like your adjustments, and think I'll probably aim for something in between the two. I won't repost in the gallery though, since that will be me adding to Doc's workload, there'll be harsh words spoken and wet noodles thrown...it'll be a big old mess. However, unless we get some more entries in that gallery, it'll be my non-entry against Doc's test entry and a placeholder. I wonder who'll win?!

I don't know, but I do wonder how many assistant logins are allowed at one time... guess we'll find out on Dec 29, 7:59am
In case you're bad at sarcasm, that translates to: you may not want to wait until the last minute, this time around especially. There will be no "special consideration" because of the format change. Unless there's cash attached, of course (that was sarcasm again, are we catching on? )
1) Does having a ShareNAV button on the top of the gallery negate the right click protection offered by the gallery? ie.. you can't copy a photo using right click, but you can copy it using the Share Button
2) Under KEYWORDS can you add you web site address as a link?

1) No. If you follow the link, you'll see you are only provided a link for the viewing sizes we have allowed. At the moment, it's XL (1024px max, if I'm not mistaken - still far from "high-res").
2) No. You can add any string of text as a keyword, but it won't be hypertext (the 'dots' will be removed, ie. www.smugmug.com becomes wwwsmugmugcom).

Is the little one the "cabbage patch kid" from one of the LPS rounds?
http://lrichters.smugmug.com
Sure is!

That sounds like a polite way of saying, "Nice kid, shame about the shot".
i dont want to go into the gallery until its time to judge so post me a shot eh?
i can comment, i am un-polite naturally:D

PS. You're looking very fit this year.
While we're mod-jacking the entry thread, I figured, why not?

Actually I was looking for feedback in the gallery, but hey, I'll take it any way I can get it.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure you're on the naughty list.

Just a few questions
