Sunday Dec 21 Site Issue

For some reason, unknown to me, a few of the photos in my slideshow on my homepage ( www.leiningerphotos.com ) are not showing up. I am getting a photo not found message, with a sad smuggy showing instead....any ideas? :dunno

I have not gone into the album they are in for quite sometime, so I know it's not anything I did.

I'm having the same issue.....the images are still in the gallery but I'm getting a "photo not found" on my home page. Is this a new upgrade problem?

Photo not found, using random images
I'm seeing the same thing on my site, not with the slideshow, but with many of my html-only pages which are using the random photos code as shown in the wiki at http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Random+Photos+Code.

Today is the first time I've seen this.

The galleries all look fine - no missing photos. It seems as if whichever size is being used to generate the random images is possibly the problem.

I have not changed anything in the problem galleries, although I have added photos to some of the galleries my html-only galleries are using. The missing photos are from galleries that contain new photos and from galleries that do not contain new photos. There is no pattern that I can see.

    Here are two examples.

    Click Kaleidoscope from my navbar:

    440592203_ULstT-L.jpg

    Click Gallery from navbar:

    440592217_4qURW-L.jpg

    Please, please, fix this!

    --- Denise

Yeah, none of my slideshows are working at all. This happened yesterday, too. What's the deal, Smug?

It's happening in my blog too, where I use <img src= statements to pull in photos from my smug galleries.

    For example:

    440601625_pTJdX-L.jpg

And the same screen entered just a few minutes later, missing even more photos...

I'm also having a problem where the arrows on my slideshow don't always work... Sometimes they work fine. For instance, right now, they're working fine in Safari, but in Firefox, the arrows don't seem to be working past the third picture on this slideshow:

    http://www.mattdudleyphotography.com/gallery/6378060_KnUUZ

Can anyone else confirm this issue?

Same problem. Hit Refresh, sometimes they then will show up. Go back and forth and it doesn't, just "not found". I haven't done anything (knowingly) to customize the slideshows.

If I close and start over, it happens again but on different pictures, it's not the same ones each time.

Anyone have any idea what is up?

It's happening on both a new gallery I created and old galleries that use to work just fine (here's an old one): http://linwoodferguson.smugmug.com/gallery/5340717_jYBy7#326519644_WoCBD

Slideshow now requires password, also, I CAN NOT LOG IN!
I just visited my website, http://www.sniperphotography.com
The site is taking FOREVER to load, when it does finally load, the slideshow says that a password is required! I have never seen anything like this before.

Also, I can not log into my Smugmug account. Tried on Safari as well as Firefox.

    PLEASE help....

    Logout and geography problems!!
I have just tried editting the geography and it will not let my save the new position, it just goes back to the gallery, instead of the page with the new coordinates for you to click save.eek7.gif

And, I cannot logout of my website.headscratch.gif

    cheers

    Site down?
I've been browsing photos for a couple hours, came across the Photo Not Found errors described below, and now it seems the whole site is down. The pictures along the top of DGrin aren't working and clicking on one (http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/4188691) shows the following error in firefox.

    Internal Server Error - Read

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Reference #3.67e434d.1229895831.359e73b

Thanks Andy, just now noticed the red problem message that has been added.

Glad it wasn't something on my end.

Yet another cool thing from Smugmug. I pulled up my site and it appears to be working for the most part, but it is super nice to have the red problem message so that clients know there is a problem that is being solved.

    Thanks Smugmug...

As far as I know, we're still the only site that has this "Read Only" mode - so we can work on the site and still serve up photos for viewing....

:cry Weird before this past week I only noticed 2 outages in 2 years, now 2 in one week.
I hope things are OK, read only definitely is a nice feature, but I do prefer the fully operational version.

I'm sorry to hear that I'm not the only one who has been fighting server/database issues all weekend. Don't you hate getting woken up with that page?

Thanks for the news and updates!

It's not working. The login still does not work. It is still "readonly".

    Is there an ETA?

What happened, equipment failure, software glitch or some external factors?

    | Never mind. Although the login page did not work. Refreshing the gallery page restored all controls again.

I was just about ready to get my navbar going... grr.
Hopefully it's all patched up soon.. I've got some customization to do and a lot of images to upload.
