Aghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
I'm really not looking forward to having to choose among all of these great photos.
The best strategy I've been able to conceive thus far is to print them all off, randomly hang them on a wall, get some darts and some bourbon, and let fate make the hard decisions.

No taking the easy way out, bro! That's the price for picking such a great theme!
Regardless, when this is done, we'll have ourselves an awesome photo-music album to dance to. :ivar

I should have gone with my second choice of a theme ("Five birds silhouetted on a telephone wire against a blood red sunset, where the second and fourth bird are looking at each other and the first, third, and fifth bird are looking straight ahead, and some dude in the corner is smoking a cigarette while reading the newspaper oblivious to it all").
There would have been only one entry and I would have DQ'd it for not liking the type of bird that was chosen.
"Start spreading the news, I’m leaving today
I want to be a part of it - new york, new york"
My oldest daughter (4) keeps asking when were going back to the "big city", Whenever theres a map out she wants to know where the "big city" is. On a side note Madagascar is here favorite movie right now so this song keeps sticking in my mind. Thats why I picked a New York photo.

Maybe that would have been better. Then again, there's always the old standby "Rogue Zoo Animal Attacks in Southeast Asia" or "3D Sub-Atomic Particle Electron Macro-photometry," but why even go there when "Aerial Pinhole Camera Extreme Sports Fashion Disasters" is so obvious?

U-G-L-Y
You aint got no alibi
You're ugly
You're ugly
Yeah, You're ugly
M-A-M-A
How do you think you got that way
You're mama
You're mama
Yeah, you're mama
I'm just getting back into photography (last July) after a long time away, and I'm learning a lot here. I thought I would add one more to my post (#29) to see if I have a half a chance competing here.
Great work, everyone.
Experience - the thing you get just after you need it! :scratch :dunno

There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
It's a long road
When you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone
Tear them away
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time
You'll find the way And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
2. U2 - Where The Streets Have No Name
I wanna run, I want to hide
I wanna tear down the walls
That hold me inside.
I wanna reach out
And touch the flame
Where the streets have no name.
I wanna feel sunlight on my face.
I see the dust-cloud
Disappear without a trace.
I wanna take shelter
From the poison rain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name.
We're still building and burning down love
Burning down love.
And when I go there
I go there with you
(It's all I can do).
The city's a flood, and our love turns to rust.
We're beaten and blown by the wind
Trampled in dust.
I'll show you a place
High on a desert plain
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name
Where the streets have no name.
We're still building and burning down love
Burning down love.
And when I go there
I go there with you
(It's all I can do).
I'm adding one more entry for a total of 3. My previous 2 are below:
Entry: #3:
"Watching The River Run"
(LOGGINS & MESSINA)
And it goes on and on, oh, watching the river run,
Further and further from things that we've done,
Leaving them one by one.
And we have just begun watching the river run.
Listening and learning and yearning.
Run, river, run.
Who’s that knocking on my door
It’s gotta be a quarter to four
Is it you again coming ’round for more
Well you can love me tonight if you want
But in the morning make sure you’re gone
I’m talkin’ to you
Hot legs, wearing me out
Hot legs, you can scream and shout
Hot legs, are you still in school
I love you honey
Gotta most persuasive tongue
You promise all kinds of fun
But what you don’t understand
I’m a working man
Gonna need a shot of vitamin e
By the time you’re finished with me
I’m talking to you Hot legs, you’re an alley cat
Hot legs, you scratch my back
Hot legs, bring your mother too
I love you honey
Imagine how my daddy felt
In your jet black suspender belt
Seventeen years old
He’s touching sixty four
You got legs right up to your neck
You’re making me a physical wreck
I’m talking to you
Hot legs, in your satin shoes
Hot legs, are you still in school
Hot legs, you’re making me a fool
I love you honey
Hot legs, making your mark
Hot legs, keep my pencil sharp
Hot legs, keep your hands to yourself
I love you honey
Hot legs, you’re wearing me out
Hot legs, you can scream and shout
Hot legs, you’re still in school
I love you honey

This track/album ( the fat of the land ) is the best memory and personal related album ever. So is the best live music experience.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,

I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Ill never look into your eyes...again[/FONT]

Wow, what a great set of photos! It's going to be very difficult to rank these, I'll have the results up shortly (hopefully).
Thanks to everyone who participated!
