    I would have to say it's a Red Tailed Hawk. Thats the same kind I see here.

    I'm not real familiar with the Red Shouldered Hawk, but I'm pretty familiar with the Redtails. I vote Redtail. They are extremely variable and as mentioned earlier, there are 16 subspecies, including one we get here in the winter with a white tail and chocolate brown chest called the Harlan's Redtail.

    Better late than never... I throw in my 2 cents. The tail in flight looks just like the re-tailed... the red-shouldered haveing darker tails with blk/white bands.

    Well the mate is definately a Red-tail. The larger bird will be the female!ne_nau.gif
