Yeah it's doing it on mine as well. I switched the border to width 0 for the time being.

Mine is screwed up today as well. The border around my slide show use to have rounded corners, but not anymore...not to mention it has the gap mentioned above.

Can we expect a fix anytime soon?

Slideshow Frame is expanded beyond images
Suddenly this morning I noticed the frame on my slideshow is expanded about 1/2 left and right from my images rather than tighly framing them.

Is this a bug? I don't believe I have done anything to change this.

    clarifying border issues

    Andy,
The slideshow border issue / bug at least for my sites and all others I had bookmarked that use it is that the "border" instead of wrapping around the image, changing as image dimension changes, now sits preset at the size of the slideshow fixed at the described slideshow width/height. It is a border now for the slideshow container, NOT the images --

In some instances I get Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

Is the latter a slideshow issue or flash10 issues?

Due to the high number of posts on it - will there be a broadcast msg when it gets fixed?

I've been following the thread on coupons - very closely -- but havent seen a date yet -- even if approximate (days weeks months?)

    Thx.

Is this perhaps the same issue that's causing my slideshow splash image to all of a sudden have an enormous black background? The splash background used to be transparent, I guess. Now it's black, and blows out the sides of my page background on my home page.

    (monkeytales.smugmug.com if it matters)

mine too...mine too. Just like the others background is black instead of transparent, pictures are smaller and the picture border is not around the actual picture. I came here to post and saw the thread. Glad it is just not mine!

Same here. The SM Support is aware of this problem.

Anyway, I hate it when good things are being changed for bad.

I'm just surprised that SM didn't just role back the update they pushed out? Wouldn't that have been the easiest thing to do? Whenever there is a problem at my company's release they role it back - fix the problem and then push the update out again. What am I missing here?

I just have one question. What were the reasons to change anything about the well working slideshow at all? What were your intensions?
    I just don't get it.

And another one. It's the third day now. Isn't there an easy way to roll back to the old version?
I still love Smugmug but this is a little bit disappointing. Your customers are spoiled and used to get things done quickly.

Our intentions were to fix some olde bugs: slideshow captions were truncated, there was some memory usage issues, and a few other things. Which we did.

We're really, really sorry - it will be fixed.

The easy thing to do is simply remove the border statement from your slideshow, then you won't have the border issue.

We'll fix this we promise, and we're really sorry that the bug crept in on the border issue.

It's not that simple to roll back, I'm sorry, I wish it were. But we'll get the border issue resolved!

I'm really sorry this is a hassle. Shizam'll get this fixed, we promise!

In the meantime, just remove the border statement from your slideshow code.

We're really sorry about this border bug. We'll fix it.

Thank God I found this thread. I was adding text to my biobox so that my google search will look better and found out that there were small gaps around the pictures. I thought it had something to do with the text and the code that hid the text.
I am sure they will get this fixed :D

It sounds like this has been reported, but I just want to make sure. My PNG images in the slideshow are now showing as sort of an inverse image with black background.

See http://www.yoursbydesign.smugmug.com/ The initial image is a transparent PNG file.

    Also happening on http://draftgreenroom.smugmug.com/

    Thanks,

    Tom K.

All the shows with the bad borders also show a big black background.
That's probably what you are seeing behind your transparency. So wait for
the fix and should be back to normal.

Hooray! Black background is fixed! My splash screen is a little strange (the image appears before the splash logo disappears). Also, the splash logo has a black border around it. Is there something wrong with my code that I should fix, or is this another item that's being worked on internally?

    Bea-U-T-ful!
I just noticed the problem this afternoon. Yeah, they don't call me "Mr. Attentive" for nuthin'.

Not only was it fixed before I knew it, the new fix resolved a "skip" I always had in the first frame of my slideshow. It would render, then the border would seem to redraw one time for the second frame. Everything from that point on was smooth, but that first frame looked jumpy.

Now? Smooooooooooooth and sweet! Thanks as always, SmugMug!
