All we are is dust in the wind...
One of the strangest things I've ever seen -- a dust storm at sunset. Mount Tiefort there in the center is a bit over 1500m (5000ft). I'm not particularly happy with this shot, but I was kind of freaking out at the time. It was an overwhelming thing to see! This shot doesn't even show half the extent of the storm.
"Whatever you do will be insignificant. but it is very important that you do it." -- Gandhi
"There is a place for me somewhere, where I can write and speak much as I think, and make it pay for my living and some besides. Just where this place is I have small idea now, but I am going to find it" Carl Sandburg
Lake Erie Sunset Heres one when the lake was still a wee bit frozen ..you can see a lil piece of ice floatin around in there .. Beautiful sunsets all around..high fives to all
Just a couple more, I don't want to wear out my welcome but I think I got a couple of pics that really turned out well (one is a sunrise the other is a sunset).
Sunset Fishing (this is my challenge 42 entry)...
Sunrise over Commencement Bay...
Okay, no more
Y'all don't want to hear me, you just want to dance.
Its easy to make picture, its more difficult to make good picture.

Here's a few of my favorites...
I'm probably a bit late on this, but here's a few selections from the archives:
Sunset Sail
Give me your hand...
Both of these were taken in Grand Bend, ON Canada
Fountain Silhouette
Another one over in Canada. It's sometime extremely fortunate when you stumble on a scene. I was walking down the street and saw these two girls deciding to play in the fountain. I just asked one of them to hold still and this is what came out of it.
this was taken looking east during the sunset with the full moon rising
Question for you eye-max...
I noticed that you image is hosted on pbase. Do you know if they compress your images when you upload them? I can't help but notice the artifacting around the moon and other places in your image and wondered if that was a result of something you did or pbase.
There are some smugmuggers that are having a difficult time with compression issues and if this is the result of pbase's compression scheme, it'd be something good to compare photos from smugmug with.
