My Children's Joy
Spring snow. What could be more iconic than:
"Catching Snowflakes"
Perhaps boys and puppies!
This is Sam, on the day he was surprised with puppies... taking GREAT joy in being the:
"Pied Piper of Puppies"
This is Max. I love love love this image, because you can see how he is just so proud of his new puppy. I love the inner joy that owning his own dog has brought out in him:
welcome to the Minis and yes, a perfect place to comment !
this thread has been a little quieter than usual, maybe too many great photos to comment on i guess i know im overwhelmed
Thanks - still just starting to get involved. This is pretty fun, and yes... lots of great photos. Glad I'm not judging! (I'd throw in a smilie, but I don't think I've found the right one...) Cheers!
we are looking into getting a family pup, this pic tips the scales for me towards my youngest girls choice ...
We had a lab when my husband and I first got married... and he became very low on the totem pole as we added kids to our family (not to mention I got REALLY tired of the shedding). Now he is basking in the love and affection of friends of ours (we had him for 7 years). So... this time around, now that the boys are "older," the Shih-tzus seem to be a great choice so far. Here's a link to the gallery that shows the boys' first encounter at Easter...
I only recently started bringing the camera out around kids but here are a couple that I was happy with. the second one would have been better if he was just slightly farther away.
I am ending my voyeuristic ways...this is my first post. Please be patient if I pasted the image incorrectly. Just wanted to participate and get some feedback. Thanks.

I love that this is in black and white, love the delicate details of the balloons... Her expression is great, and the sense of motion all make this a FUN image! Nice work.

You're only as good as your next photo....
One day, I started writing, not knowing that I had chained myself for life to a noble but merciless master. When God hands you a gift, he also hands you a whip; and the whip is intended solely for self-flagellation...I'm here alone in my dark madness, all by myself with my deck of cards --- and, of course, the whip God gave me." Truman Capote
Chasing Bubbles
Thought I'd toss my hat into the ring for this challenge. I put two photos up so a picture could be painted as to what this lil' nipper is doing on this chilly Easter day. It's my cousin's son, and after Easter dinner, we went outside to watch him chase bubbles. The first shot is to show you what he is chasing, and the second one is my submission for the challenge, as a bubble is bursting right in his face. He was having a ball trying to catch these things.
Trying to catch the bubble.
Bursting in his face.

1. Up a Tree
2. Out on a Limb
3. My Favorite Perch
My grandson just discovered that he is now tall enough to climb the cherry tree in our yard. This is now his favorite place, and he is looking forward to picking cherries without a ladder!
