This contest will run from Monday, May 4, 8:00am EST (GMT -5) on through Monday, May 18, 8:00am EST.

Your theme ready for wide open interpretation: Energy

Jump, spin, run, explode! Or glow, spark, sizzle, burn. Energy comes in many forms, thankfully you just need to capture one. Give your judges a jolt!

    Very cool theme. Now I just need to find some energy to go out and shoot. Going to Disneyland today so maybe I will find some there!! Wish me luck.

    This being my first Mega Challenge; I have a question: Are we eligible to also submit to the Sharp Shooter Challenge #25 and this one?

    How does that work?

    Chris has got you covered, but I wanted to let you know he is correct. If you're qualified for the Mega, you cannot submit anything for the regular DSS round running concurrently. deal.gif

    I dunno about lightning.. The more I read up on how to shoot it the more I worry.. I mean every website you go to it says it is so dangerous to shoot it.. I am out on that one..!!!

    I could stick my 2 boys and the 2 puppies in a closet for an hour or two... toss in a few candy bars, wait for the sugar rush, then release them all with camera ready.... Would that work? mwink.gif

    Been there, done that...it would totally work...you just need to add a few Red Bulls on top of an entire supply of last year's halloween candy.:D

    Y'all are ahead of me. The only vague idea I've had for this has been a total wash so far, so I'm into :bash mode since my mind is a total, utter blank .... rolleyes1.gif

    I'm in the same boat. First thing that came to mind was lightning, but unless I can create weather, that's not going to happen in Southern California.

    I do have two ideas that I hope pan out. One I will attempt in the next few days so I hope I get something that is worthy of the challenge. The other may not be practical considering how busy I am right now.

    My image is a composition of 4 and I'd like to make sure I put the Exif's correctly:

    Is the method the same as described here?

    On the contest page it looks weired... instead of heaving just the word(s) Exif1 with a link to it,
    I have the whole string of URL, like this:

    The sign "=" doesn't seem to be taken, even though, I put it there...headscratch.gif

    I am still learning this myself too...not sure if you have a smugmug account or not, but I was shown a way to post a direct link from there.

    Anyways, I went to the "instructions" link you provided and it looks like that works..
    if you go to my photoshop thread and scroll down, richters put a link on there of an example of how hers looked when she did it.......

    hope that helps some.. and kuddos for you taking the first plunge into the "energy" gallery... and nice work too... love the bull and the Spain theme and colorations.. awesome..thumb.gif

    Here is a method that Sherstone so kindly shared with me on how to link the your entire smugmug entry gallery with all of your exif images in it to the picture, just in case you want to try it,, this is how I am going to do it...

    Yes it works - I thought it was like in the instructions but it isn't.

    This is a simple HTML coding for links and if in addition you insert

    target="_blank"

    you will get the link open in a separate window.

    So basically it will be:

    <a href="your EXIF URL code" target="_blank">EXIF</a>

    Example:

    <a href="http://allbiz.smugmug.com/photos/newexif.mg?ImageID=534673137&ImageKey=qb4rE&quot; target="_blank">Exif1</a>
