Finally, the book is here!
With a thousand-and-one humble apologies for the delay in getting this piece crafted and ready for publication, I present to you Digital Grin's fruit from the dry deserts of Moab, Utah. Hopefully by now all of us have beaten the last grains of red sand out of our bags and our lenses have stopped grinding and crunching at every focal length. With the lingering reminders of the desert now so far away, perhaps we are ready to fondly face it in these pages.
No words can describe how much I appreciate everyone's help & patience in this project. And I do hope that this has been worth the wait. 2008 was a wonderful year and we had so many great adventures, even if some of our groups were ships passing in the night. :lol3
I hope that our awesome momentum and passion for shooting will carry us into Acadia this fall.
Remember that neither Digital Grin or SmugMug (or your humble BlurbThumptress) benefit from these sales or make any profits whatsoever. This is for us, from us. Enjoy the yearbook! :smo

And I'm so glad to see the enthusiasm hasn't waned! I am going to send a copy to Red Cliffs Lodge, too, as they were really great to us.

GREAT idea, they were fabulous!
Will this be left on blurb for future purchases? or is there a hard deadline when it will be taken down?
http://wall-art.smugmug.com/
Nah, I'm leaving it up, no deadline. It's a "private" book so the only place the link is found is in this post and last year's book from Glacier is still up, too.

You Seattlers are prolly the first to get it.
(considerig they ship from Auburn, WA I'm not surprised:-)
Mine is still in OR....:-(
The cover was really washed out and there were ink blobs on a bunch of pages. I emailed blurb. I will see what they say.... :cry

Thanks Dean! Couldn't have made it happen without the Dgrinners to be my eyes, ears, readers.
Ack I'm really sorry to hear that the quality of the book was lacking. We got ours yesterday and it's great, and I like Blurb and they've done no wrong by me. So I hope that they can resolve the issues with you.

Schmoo You are amazing!
I need to compare photo quality, but I think blurb did a better print job with last year's book. The photos look a bit fuzzy.
Still....

Kudos to Blurb for being fast in taking care of issues.
Once again thanks Schmoo and to everyone that was on the trip. I will miss you all dearly this year with not being at Acadia.

That's great to hear that you're getting a replacement! Thanks Bruce for checking in on this thread. I had ordered the regular hardback with a slipcover, not even thinking about the printed on cover at the time. I don't know why
(Ditto... and congrats to you too! )
