What is going on????This is starting to get very frustrating. I woke up to dozens of emails asking me what's up with my site. This couldn't come at a better time!
Andy I have noticed that in the last few weeks, we have had way more than the average outages. Just a good bit of equipment failures, or is there another particular reason. The updates never say much but, down, up, down, up.
WTB: 1GB and 512k CF cards.
I have a need for a decent # of these smaller cards. If you have multiple cards that would be great. I am located at zip code 35243 & 35255.
Ugh... I've got TONS of vacation photos that I promised everyone would be up.
With that out of the way, SmugMug does have fantastic uptime, but they do tend to fall victim to the "when it rains, it pours" saying. All in all, it's well worth the subscription costs.

Frustration Let me start by saying that I love most things about Smugmug; the user interface is fantastic, it's generally pretty fast, support gets back to you quickly, etc. ... but (you had to know this was coming) I used Smugmug for two events last December to test it out. For the two days following a LARGE event, Smugmug was constantly up and down, probably costing me a lot of money (on my other site, more than 40% of my sales were generated in the first 2-3 days after an event). I was given plenty of assurance that this was rare and that I could count on Smug to host my images, and my livelihood.
Last weekend brought the first 2, of 8, major jobs over the next 2 months that I am counting on Smugmug for. If this continues to be an issue, it will put me out of business. The stuff I shoot depends on repeats and referrals; both of which are severely affected by, what is perceived to be, an unreliable web site.
It's nice that the "read only" mode is available, but when people have to come back later to make a purchase, it can do nothing but hurt sales, and reputations. I understand that Smugmug's uptime is good, overall, but this is a very busy time of year (as is December) for most photographers. It's not the uptime, it's WHEN it's up.
We're back up and should be fully functional. I've had a look at the links you sent along and everything is displaying great for me. You have some awesome shots. Love the stainless steel ants!

The problem persists. The interesting thing is, if I go to my site using other people computers, my site is working fine AND if I go to other dgrinner webpages on MY computer, everything is also fine.
The problem only appears if I go to my own site on my computer:cry
Edit: I have no idea what this means but when I tried to view the page there is this "warning sign" error at the bottom left of the browser. when I double click it and clikc show details, it said:
"
Line:615
Char:13
Error: "YE" is null or not an object
Code:0
URL:http://yasmeen.smugmug.com/gallery/2469495_wdg7x"
And off course I can't get the button to go to my CSS, customize gallery page or any of those.

Typically clearing your browser's cache will fix this up - let us know if you need specific instructions (we'll need to know your browser). Thanks!
Andy-
I did clean the cache and still no go. Browser is IE Version 6.0.2900.5512.
xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234
Not that anything change but I also enable Javascript for the browser, also no go.
The thing is I can see other people smugmug page all the way down to the gallery level which seems to suggest that the issue is not with Javascript not running etc.

I whole heartedly disagree. Having people be able to look at the site instead of a blank page wins any time for me.

We don't like this at all, we know you hate it! But the site is in read only mode right now.

Even in the read only mode I still have the same issue. Perhaps you guys are working on this but here is the example of what I am refering to:
On this page you (or at least I) can see the Preview of photos for the specific gallery.
http://yasmeen.smugmug.com/Other/631503
But when I go to the specific gallery, nothing comes up

What I can see on my screen is this (attached):

Edit 2: Aha!, There is another's wbepage that I also cannot see. This one:

It seems that she also has similar gallery style, set up etc as mine (or mine as hers) that seems to be the issue.
