Many municipalities have bylaws against windshield flyers for that exact reason - and you can be charged and fined for distributing them - so be careful if you do it.

My daughter is a "senior to be". Between the end of her Junior year and now (mid summer), I have lost count of the number of mailings she has received from photographers - all offering a deal on sitting fees for early bookings.
I'm betting the photogs all get class lists from local schools....
When did the mailings begin? I am trying to get in on the senior market.

I'm not sure. I know here it's a civic littering by-law that carries fairly steep fines because the majority of people rip them off the windshield and throw them on the ground. There are also issues with trespassing. When you're in a mall parking lot distributing flyers, you can be charged with trespassing in some jurisdictions (and mall staff hate you because they have to clean up the mess after you). To me, it's not worth the aggravation and potential negative publicity - ESPECIALLY if you are in a small town.
