Hey, everyone. Delurking here in Dgrin after having been active in the Daily Photos community for about a year. Below are my first entries into any of the challenges. I've enjoyed looking through a bunch of the past challenges and hope to participate in quite a few as time goes on. I just discovered this challenge was still open so, even though I would rather have something new to post, I'll throw in 3 shots from this spring just to get me started.
1) American tulip tree - Liriodendron tulipifera
2) Corkscrew willow - Salix matsudana
3) Eastern redbud - Cercis canadensis
Btw, can someone tell me if it's possible to include a 1 pixel border around images posted to the forums? I can't seem to figure it out.
I don't seem to shoot many trees, but I took this several years ago in my back yard when we had a big snow (unusual here in NC) in January.
Hi Kara! Nice to see you're over here in Dgrin also. This is a cool shot and it looks very refreshing on a day as hot as today. :whew One thing I love about our surprise snowfalls is that they're usually very pretty for a day and then they're gone.

Hi James! Yep - I'm trying to learn the forum stuff over here. And what beautiful tree shots you have entered! All wonderful, but I think I love the tulip tree leaf best for the lighting.
I should be back on the dailies in a day or so . . . been out of town. Take care!
