advice on studio lighting?

I bought some lights over the weekend...it was a continuous lighting package, which I thought would work for now since i didn't have the money to invest in triggers and meters and all that. Well I actually really like the results, but the one thing that concerns me is that it gets SOOOO hot. I accidently had my umbrella up…
