Ha, I actually got the OK to go to MotosportOutlet.com, "my fav MX shopping place" and go a little crazy.

I got a complete set of Pro Circuit Triple clamps, ProTaper Evo magnesium bars, Renthal Kevlar grips, and a ProTaper bar pad. Can't wait to get it all put on. I've been waiting over a month for a set of ASV C5 levers from Motosport. They are on backorder. I'm modding my bike up pretty well!!!

I'll say. I put a safari tank on mine and got it re-jetted. Makes a world of difference. Not sure what's next on the list though.

I meant to tell you the best piece of advice I can give you is get a crate. If you can't be with the dog, crate. Let him sleep in his crate too. I've been crate training my puppy and it's made a huge difference in the number of "accidents" and giving him a safe place to hang out.

There'll be some pain involved the first few nights but in the end, it will be worth it. Like I can probably take my puppy (5mo) to Hollister now and he'll be fine in his crate while I ride. He travels in his just fine as well.

You're not going to believe this but these are straight from the camera with the exception of a few pics that I cropped a bit. You're really not going to believe me when I tell you that I shot these with my 50 F/1.8 that cost me $110 new!!!

Oh, we had a crate for him setup in our bedroom before we even brought him home. He has no problem with it at all. The first night he only woke up once to go potty. The 2nd night, he slept through the night. He stays in it when nobody is home as well.

Thanks, I had a guy over on the BMW forum that I'm on tell me that he knows I'm a pro photog in all, but since the pups face is so dark, I really need to expose it better. I just laughed and ignored it. I'm really happy with these.

iloveyou.gif that is one cute puppy.
My son asked Santa for a puppy for Christmas--we've always been against it--all the work etc, NYC living doesn't make it easier, but I've been softening lately--a smidge, and now I see these shots--thanks a lot!rolleyes1.gif

I like the name too--very funny.

    NOT FAIR!
Couple that mug with the look on my son's face on Christmas morning--of sheer joy or total devastation--

Both are just so cute--anybody got an old mangy looking mutt I can look at--preferably one that's torn the couch to shreds and peed on the flooring--you know, make it more realisticrolleyes1.gif .

Haha. My wife has wanted one of these dogs since she was a kid. I'm ex military, so I'm pretty anal about cleanliness and inside dogs, especially Bulldogs, they aren't really known for picking up after themselves. So, I always told her that I just couldn't be ok with having an inside dog especially one that slobbers. So, she believed we would never get one. She however supports me in everything I want, whether it's spending $10,000 to get a shoulder surgery so I can ride dirt bikes again, then spend $7000 on a new dirt bike "so far!", then agreeing to let me get a 300 F/2.8 before next football season. Once I sat back and realized how she lets me do whatever I want and supports it, I was ashamed of myself for not supporting her wish to have a Bulldog, so I did alot of research and spent money on a registered pup, that has a long AKC family background so that she could have a quality pup. Yea, the house has been a bit of a wreck since we brought him home, but to see how happy he makes her, it's well worth it. He won't be a puppy forever, he'll eventually get totally potty trained and won't try to chew on EVERYTHING!!

So, I say do whatever it takes to get your son a puppy. They will have a bond like brothers and you'll make him so happy.

Riley is 5 months old. He's peed in the house maybe 5 times in the 3 months he's been home. He has tons of chew toys. So far, no damage to the furniture and like Russ, I'd kinda like to keep it that way...he does dig though lol3.gif

Russ is right. There will be a bond like no other and the happiness factor is pretty darn high for all. So if your son is ready for the responsibility, go for it.

He's currently sleeping on the floor...waiting for my co-workers to get in so he can play for a bit :D

That's one heck of a heartfelt reply and really your wife should have gotten the whole litter (she's too good).

All that was on his list was
    1. A computer for Mom and Dad
    2. An alarm clock (to get up early and walk the puppy)
    3. A puppy with the word "REAL" in all caps in front of it.

He's been washing the dishes at night (his idea, he's 7).

I had dogs growing up so I know the deal--they are your best friend. But realistically I will be the one walking the dog after the newness wears off--especially at night in the winter. But yes I think it might be worth it.
We also would want to adopt if we could.

Thank you for the post--I will share it with my husband tonight--I can't be the only guilt-trippedmwink.gif .

I'll let you guys know how it works out--you will know if you see photos of Christmas Day.
