Your Best 2009 Wildlife Images
Hi y'all,
We are coming to the end of 2009 so its a good time to look back and to post your best captures from the past year.
If you would like please post your best wildlife captures for 2009 in this thread. No more than three images please. If you get carried away and post more than three I will edit the post and remove images 4+.
In this thread lets post wildlife images. That means actual wildlife, not pets or wildlife in zoos. shelters, etc.
I will start a second thread for those types of captures.
I'm off to the Bahamas tomorrow for the next 5 days and I hope to see some knock-out images when I return.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Anhinga with catch - I was delighted with this capture because the lighting was so low. It was captured with my D3 and 300mm + 1.7 TC at ISO 1600.
I just love spoonbill images. This was taken with the D3 and the 300mm f/4 + 1.7 TC.

I am just trying to learn this game and almost feel dumb for posting any of my stuff in this thread. Here is my humble beginning. I lucked out big time on this one! It was taken with my Sony a700 and Tamron 200-500 lens @ 1/50 sec and FL of 420mm!
You cannot see it, but he had just picked up a fish out of the lake.
