I like them all Chris, and would have a tough time ranking the bunch.
You've had a productive year of amazing travels. Nice work indeed.

I do a best of each year but it has never been narrowed down to just 10. Congrats on some fine work this year.

Still, if other people want to participate that would be totally awesome and we can sticky this thread to the top.

And yes, you do seem to get around.

I think you captured the single greatest sunrise at Zabriski Point in all of 2009
My favorite is #3

Thanks Marc! I think the sunrise was a little luck a little serendipity.
#3 was taken on the way to cottonwood canyon one morning last February- just happened to see some good frost and good light so pulled over-- right along the highway somewhere near heber valley, and to be honest could probably never find that location again. But it sure looked good that morning.

The top 10 idea was a great one so I decided to look back over my 2009. Thanks in part to a commitment to my new blog during this year, I was out quite a bit and had a phenominal year. It was tough limiting things to just 10 photos but here are mine in no order....
1. Autumnal Sunset - Mount Rainier National Park
2. Horseshoe Bend - North Fork Nooksack River
3. Park Glacier Icefall - Mount Baker Wilderness
4. Deception Creek Panorama
5. Trees in Threes - Mount Rainier National Park
6. Inside Out - Mount Rainier National Park
7. Winter's Frost
8. Wrapped in Fall
9. Cougar Divide
10. No Better Time

I started picking out my Top 10 last night... what a difficult task!! I've got it narrowed down to 12 and having trouble making the last cut. Great idea!

While I enjoy the two photos from one of your "staple" locations (Wa coast), I really love the two you chose from your Yellowstone trip. The contrast between the dead snags and the sunrise light is fantastic and I love how it looks like a repeating scene in the second photo as it appears as if the snag is slowly sinking into the ground as you travel back in the scene. To sum up, nice work, Ron.
