Hey folks, got everything but the back cover laid out and ready... looking for any interesting candids of the group from the shootout for the back cover. Got a few interesting ones from Ann, looking for more. Point to galleries here or pm me links.

thanks to everyone that sent me candids, I picked several. Here's a pdf preview of the book. Please look it over for issues and PM me ASAP if you find something. I hope to release the book to blurb and order a test print within the next week. (I'm fighting with their site on how to get you to be able to preview the book on the site... it looks like I have to actually order one first.)
And since they won't print the cover from the design tool on proofs, here's a skitch of it:

+1. Thanks, Cabbey! Just downloaded the preview and it looks super!
Back cover. Hehehehehe! So someone took a picture of Ann taking a picture of me taking a picture of the bridge from the picture in Kevin's tourist book.

Price check...
Hey folks, I've got it on blurb and have a copy ordered. As soon as I see the first copy and validate it's not got issues, I'll approve it and get the order link out to attendees. Looks like $49.95 is going to be the price. There are a couple corners I can cut to get it a little cheaper in exchange for lower quality. Anyone really seriously object to that price? I'm not making any profit, that's blurb's rate for hardcover with lustre paper at this length.

I'd order a book no matter the price, but if you can get it lower, then lower is better.
Chris, that last pic was only a 600x400 version. If you want a larger copy, let me know.
At the size I'm using it it doesn't look bad. The entire back panel is rendered at 300dpi for like 8.5 x 10.75 or so. Here's a super zoom crop out of the final rendered image:
When I get the proof, if it stands out as looking lower rez then I'll come back to ya for a higher resolution copy. Given that I can even make out the clapboards on the house, I'm not too worried about it's resolution.

Hey Cabbey
Sorry I could get my act together to submit some shots. I've been too overwhelmed with buying my first house and doing a 3 month remodel to think of much else. Book looks awesome!

ok, proof copy is in fedex's hands now. Barring something weird I should have it Saturday, so hopefully I'll be able to open the book up for orders Saturday night!!

Cool! Now, does anyone have a picture of Kevin taking that picture?

Kevin, it's hilarious that you have that photo! And David, that your photo includes the book. Such fun memories!
