Best of 2009

I remember last year about this time, many of us in this forum posted our "Best of" shots from the year.
I thought it was fun to look through everyones recaps, so I thought I would be the first to post mine (on this forum anyway).
I hope others will join in and post theirs!
Hope you enjoy...nothing professional here, just a year of having fun with photography!

Another beautiful gallery from you - your IR stuff is particularly gorgeous. And I do believe I see HdG lighthouse in there (one of my favorite places to shoot, actually - it's such an unexpected and different-from-everything-around-it picture spot!!!)

WEll Tim,
You are right you don't have that much, but what you have I like.
My two favorites are (i might have the title wrong) "let's spray" and the beautiful beautiful sunrise one in Ireland. Nicely done.

Kevin,
I just want to say that your IR shots rock!

Karin!
I just saw your slideshow I couldn't see it when you first posted it and then I saw the other link.
I like your slideshow very much--but I just wanted to say that I didn't realize you were the photographer who took one of my favorite photos. I saw it when I first started with Dgrin in 05/09, the one where your daughter was asleep on the bench with her big doll. I loved that shot and it made a huge impression on me--but I was new and didn't keep track of who took it and now I know--It was you!!!!

Anyway...Kevin I love the IR and Karin great portraits! Tim you have some really awsome shots and Diva, beautiful work as always. I enjoyed looking at everyones favorites.
Here are just a few that I assembled...most of them from my recent trip because of above statement. So not much assembled but they are all on my homepage.

Wow! Thanks Liz, I don't even know what to say. I'm humbled that the image made an impression on you! You made my day
I have followed your work in street/pj and I must say, you have a gift, and a unique style. I hope you post your "best of".....

Very nice photography Karin
I have an incredible amount of shots taken in 2009 - It would take me maybe few days to go trough and select the best ones...
What I can show though is my first printed album with shots from "Gros Morne" one of the Canadian National Parks, located in Newfounland. (50 pages with 140 photos)
I just received it by mail 2 days ago You can see a preview of it here:

Not really best-of, but rather before and after getting serious about light and joining dgrin:
Jan '09 (pre-dgrin, flash on top of camera pointed right at victim)
Oct '09 (learned to bounce the flash)
Dec '09 (learned to better use the flash FEC in open spaces -- still more to learn)
Thanks to everyone for all of the feedback and direction y'all have provided!
Who is wise? He who learns from everyone.

I joined dgrin in 05/09 and via some recommendations and my first dgrin thread, I wound up with my Olympus E620 (in July), my entry level DSLR--and I love it!
My two main forums are Challenges and PJ/Street. Through both I have learned a tremendous amount. You will notice most of my shots are either from my challenge entries or PJ style.
So it's not a full 09 gallery, but really the first six months as a beginner and the dawning realization that I have a love for photography which is quickly turning into an obsession.
I'm so glad I found you guys . You saved me from a lifetime of "say cheese".
