Welcome to Round #89 of the Dgrin Mini-Challenges
This challenge is open to any DGrin member. It will run through January 31st, 4pm EST (2 weeks).
Your Judge:
- redleash (Lauren)
The subject this time is "Water"
For this challenge, I would like you to show me what you think of when you hear the word "water." Is it cold, clear liquid splashed on a tired runner's face? Or is it a bubbling brook in the midst of a quiet wood? Perhaps you live on the banks of the Mississippi River and you dream of Huck Finn and his raft. Maybe you are an abstract thinker who finds beautiful art in a stream's swirls and whirls.
Water is one of my favorite subjects, for all the reasons mentioned above. None is more important than the other, so use your imagination. Shoot fresh images or dig out those shots you took when you visited Niagara Falls. Just go find me some WATER!
*Guidelines:
1. The entrant must be the sole photographer of the entry.
2. The photo does NOT need to be fresh. Rummage the archives or shoot something new. Your choice.
3. Enter 1 - 3 in a single post. You may edit or swap out your images as often as you like, up to the deadline.
4. Either embed your image in the thread or, if you must, supply a link to it. Keep in mind, however, most people don't want to click to open photos hosted elsewhere (eg on your website).
5. Try to resize your photos prior to posting so they're sized appropriately for viewing without having to scroll (~800 pixels on the longest side works best.)
6. Give a title to your story.
7. Participate!!!!!!
8. Also, especially non-contestants: Feel free to share your thoughts and reactions to the entries which excite you. Enjoy discussion with members about their images. This is not just an entry thread, but a thread open for the participation of anyone who would like to contribute, in a way appropriate to the spirit and purpose of the Mini-Challenges.

Sometimes water is a reflection of a peaceful moment...
Sometimes mother nature's power can be overwhelming
And sometimes you just get swept away.

My sister thinks the clump of ice looks like a man climbing up the waterfall. I never noticed it until she said.
