The Mini's are not a voting system. The judge creates the topic and then selects a winner. The winner wins the right and responsibility to come up with a new topic and be the judge for that. Some judges write more or less about what drove their love about a certain photo that made it stand out for them. It's all pretty loose.

Hi there. Lauren (Redleash) asked me to let everyone know that she'll be back when she can to judge these incredible entries. She's been in hospital for a few days with pneumonia. I know you'll all join me in wishing her a complete and speedy recovery.
Dylan, I see red Xs instead of pictures. I think there is a setting in your gallery that you need to change, but I am not sure what it is. Love the lightning pictures!

I am so very sorry for the delay--I guess that going into the hospital was the only way I could think of to avoid judging these magnificent entries!
Thank you all for your warm wishes. I returned home a couple of days ago. I'm still spending lots of time resting on the couch and am going nowhere near a camera or my truck. I'm sure I will go through withdrawal, so I will try to make up for it by looking at everyone else's work. I will try to get this judged as soon as humanly possible.
By the way, I came down with pneumonia as a result of a bacterial infection from, of all things, WATER!!
