I just received a PM asking about the weird EXIF on

The Modified date is a bunch of zeros. I made a judgment call and allowed this entry since a 0000 date in my eyes is the same as no Modified date.

    Thank you,
I did another SOOC here and the same thing happened--When I don't process the shot at all, it shows as date modified 0000000000000 etc.ne_nau.gif . I think it's a weird Olympus Masters 2 thing (the downloading tool I use).

    Thanks for letting me stay.

I just now noticed the date taken and date modified are different. I don't know why. The only thing I did was move it to a different folder after it was uploaded from camera to computer. From there I created a folder for my favorites where I moved this photo to. I didn't even check date taken/modified since it was not put through any program. Would placing a picture in two different folders cause that? Bummer...I spent gobs of time on that. ne_nau.gifcry

FWIW, I really liked your angel photo, I was sorry to see it DQ'd

Oh no......what a shame! That was a stunning shot. :cry

There had been a discussion in this forum regarding certain software packages changing the date modified around without you knowing it.

I know it doesn't help things now, but here's the thread --

Thanks for the link. I think the safe, easiest and sure way for me with any future sooc is to upload strait from the card! Opanda exif shows it a little differently – instead of modified it says digitized but the original and digitized are the same. I won’t rely on that either! I sure learned much this time around! Thanks again for the tips and help!
    Opanda:
    Date Time = 2010-04-18 14:07:21
    Date Time Original = 2010-04-17 11:59:21
    Date Time Digitized = 2010-04-17 11:59:21
