Be helpful if your shots were in one post and 800 pixels on the long edge max.

They're nicely exposed but the frozen look just doesn't do it for me.

Make the picture smaller. Not everyone is looking at it using a giant monitor. Pick "Medium" or "Large" if you must but X3 is WAY TO BIG.

I did. But the first part should have been obvious. Next time, I'll be more clear deal.gif

Amadeus, seriously, when will it sink in that posting extremely large pictures is just irritating?

Sorry, I tried to stay quiet on this! Just cant... I get it you like big pictures - Great! Big pictures go on walls. When I open a thread and I see a fender..A FENDER?! becuase the picture is that oversized, I dont bother looking at the rest. I lose out because I love looking at MX pics. You lose because soon people wont bother looking at your pictures/posts! Make 'em 800 (or slightly bigger if ya wanna be a rebel) on the wide side and we all get win! Winning is fun. Big MONSTEROUS pictures arent.

    ....Rant over.

I think they look better big.

they aren't that overwhelming on my monitor at work and thats a normal size monitor.

how about X2 is that too big?

No one doubts they look better big but X2 is still too large. Try M or L and use the "click for a larger version" method.

KX450F? I think it's pretty cool. Not crazy about the background. Maybe a tad more light on the back end to fill it out a bit?

    Yep, its the 450.
I was thinking for my project I was going to shoot everything on white.
I think it would be a cool contrast to all the mud but would also allow for easy strips.
This background was already hanging in the studio so I just used it.

I have hundreds of backgrounds like this that could work pretty good to if the riders want them.

I just picked up a 250f. This was before riding...

I like the direction you are going with this idea. I wonder what you could do in the field--like do a setup at the local MX / OHV area?

    Nice thumb.gif

    Thats the plan.
The Hangover scramble runs Jan 1st and is a muddy mess. I have shot it years past and done action shots but thought this could work and be a cool idea. I can shoot out of my trailer with the riders pulling up under an easy up after their moto for the pics.

This test was great for setting up the lighting. Now as long as there are no high winds I should be good to go.

There are several Hangover events down this way. I'm sure that would be a huge hit with them--especially the OTHG guys.

As usual, you never disappoint in what you post. That is a great shot (and so was the follow-up you posted). Its making my mind whirl for automotive track days.... :)
