I have been doing a lot a reenactment photography in the past few years...Here are a few from a trip a couple of years ago. The weather played a major role in the battle, with daytime temps in the teens.
Some more wonderful images added since I last looked.
A few more that pulled my eye:
Wonderful landscape Sean.
This is simply a glorious image. There is just so much to like about this, from the play of light & shadow, to the foreground detail and the light picking out the steam from what I presume is a whistle.
Wonderful rich detail, great shot.
Great image, very dramatic and I love the unusual angle on this iconic location.
I remember a variant of this from DSS #7 Winston. That one was very nice but imho this is even better. Great connection with the girl's eyes.
Great stuff as always Alex but I love this shot. It has such a rich feel reminiscent of images from the 50s & 60s. And I feel a real connection between the me as the viewer and the subject.
Doing great.

I've come thru this thread a few times, and keep stopping at this image. I liked it when I first saw it but have really grown to love it. Aside from how well it's presented overall, it really keeps me engaged, and looking, because there so much to see. Very nice!!

What a great portrait!! I'm starting to learn and try a bit more of this style of environmental portraiture. This is a beautiful example! Thanks for sharing.

Just beautiful! I love those looong shadows, but the texture is just gorgeous.
Very nice.
1) Spider Lily - I took this the day I had to have an entry ready for a B&W show. Nothing like last minute to make panic.
2) Little Cowboy - One of my favorites and I don't have a clue who they are.
3) Walk in the Park - I keep looking at this one as the thermometer goes over 100 each day.
