UGH! My site is ridiculously slow right now!

SmugMug is dragging right now. Image processing is taking WAY too long. Page refreshes are like molasses. All other websites I've tried appear to be functioning normally (including Digital Grin).
Nothing in the update blog. This is really frustrating!

I'm sorry you were running into slowness on the site last night. I was seeing some slowness myself, but fellow heroes seemed to not be having any problems. Everything is working great for me this morning. If you are still experiencing a problem, please let us know!

I am sorry, that is a completely pointless comment. I am FED UP with this...I use SM to earn my living and have seen a steady DECLINE in income since I began using the "SHOW OFF" gallery in my eBay listings...it has now become clear that these MULTIPLE and constant "slow downs" to your system is a key reason for this loss of income...and pay a LOT of money to SM because this is what you do...host images...period nothing more nothing less and I expect 100% reliability. I want my money back...seriously, I have had enough. Right now none of my listings show any galleries as they should...all I get is an arrow and a"waiting on SmugMug API" status message. ENOUGH!

On a hunch, I went to my own photo site and got the same thing, so it seems the SmugMug portion is down?

Thanks brecklundin! I'll try again.
Edited to add:
Yes, it's working again for now.

Ether that or I get a blank gallery with no images, and then a refresh or two later, the images come up. Very slow though if it does work.
I love smugmug, but even on 'good days' the site isn't very quick.
As far as mine the "Show Off" gallery object is taking at minimum 10-seconds to show...when access via my site...it is taking as long as 20-seconds when called remotely via webpage either on eBay or on my own server. Hardly acceptable and hardly how it behaved when I first began to use that object. So, something is still not right. Plus I am on a fastish connection, not super fast, but fast enough so I know I notice slowness more. Then again a faster connection reveals flaws in the system as well...and 7.1mb/s is not a screamer connection by any means but not slow either but fast enough to detect server slowness.

Added 3 photos to this gallery a few minutes ago.
Took forever to navigate to the gallery, then, once the photos showed as having been uploaded they photos didn't show - not even a processing thingie.
When the photos finally did show up, the thumbnails were wonky - one square the rest original (The gallery is set for "original.") I went to gallery preferences and changed the thumbnail preference to square and then found that they all showed as original. I switched back to original and a different photo showed up as a distorted square, while the rest looked fine.
I think maybe SM still has a problem.

Yikes - now all of the thumbnails are squares even though I have set the preference for original. Also, some of the photographs are distorted. I sure do hope that the subjects of the portraits doesn't go looking at their gallery until this problem is solved. Ugly stuff.

My home page slideshow is acting weird in that certain photos in the slideshow would shrink down to nearly 1/2 the size! They stay proportionate, but just much smaller. When I refresh and replay the slideshow, then that picture that was shown "tiny", is regular size again, but other photos end up tiny too! It's very random, which photos get affected at each viewing -- sometimes 3, sometimes 4, at other times, just 1, but different photos each time. Sometimes it doesn't even happen!
The random shrinking of certain photos at unpredictable times is disturbing. Viewers will think that's supposed to be normal. What could be causing that?

Hi Mike,
I'm Kevin one of the support heroes at SmugMug.
We have our engineers on this right now. They should be able to get everything up in no time! Sorry for the issues. :-(
