    Mary,

Monk is a TV character. He a quirky detective with OCS, but he is also very likable and a crime solving machine. Because of his OCS he sees things that others ether don't see or ignore.

Now that you have brought this to my attention, I see it also.

I will try and play with this today. :D

    Sam

I need to watch TV more -- I hadn't heard of Monk. I'd say we were both like him..I see it and you solve it :D

    does not matter
you can save as any file-type [ format ] you want
as long as it is [any]name . extension

.CR2 is an extension , .DNG too

its the application with witch you want , or can open it that matters
if , for example you save your photo as .TXT , windows will think its a text-file and try to open it w notepad

but , since a couple of years , extensions can have more then 3 digits
so when you say name .TYLER , windows see it as an (un-known) extension
and that shows as a white blanco icon

Interesting. I didn't know what you may type can change things.

Did find out one thing today when I was doing my editing which I found weird. I typed in my reference word before the .psd and it worked just fine. Got the pretty blue psd file showing up. Then when I went to change the photo to a jpeg....the line read differently. This was before I changed it to a jpeg file. It was still a psd file. Weird, but it's working so I won't let that bother me :D

    Funny how software works.

yes , typing a different extension does not make it a different file-type
this must be done by the application ; save as ........jpg
[ select format first ] no need to type the extension

save as PSD [a photoshop file] if you want to continue working on it
save as JPG [an universal image file ] when you done
