ok I admit that one was baaaad 1148181642_EoBgf-O.gif

I finally came up with an idea and think I took over 100 shots of it 'til I finally got one that I thought was decent. :)

umm this is weird .. I thought I posted this comment on another thread, but it ended up here? hmmmmm

Thank you Tom for your participation here - I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean though - do you think
that image would be nicer cropped? I tried it and didn't like it at all.

Well, you and I both know whatever does it for you: is the point!

I also know that dead space has killed many of my own images. As far as the cropping thing goes it takes that image from no-entry to strong entry. That said though I can assure you I would give great thought (& pause) before cropping a piece of art of mine just to make an entry because that vision is not crop-able.

Gotta bring up the framing question again. Not for argument, just to determine if I'm going to spend any more time on this shot....

    Is this considered prohibited framing?

    Thanks for asking,

Your good with that one. thumb.gif

Just in case anyone wants to further discuss why this one is fine when 2 other window shots are not. Make sure you start a discussion about it in the general discussion thread. Thanks :D

Hi Sean - I don't think my exif is being displayed correctly on my entry - lkbart - Reflections of Chihuly. I thought I copied & pasted from a post where you explained how to post additional exif, but I must've done something wrong - the link goes to the photo, but I don't see the exif. The 2 photos used (& my entry) are the last ones in my gallery here:

If you can let me know how to fix it, I would be happy to do so. Thanks! Lillian :)

The way you put a link in the caption is fine it is the link that you posted that is the trouble. You could either post this link

    http://bartlettphotoart.smugmug.com/Competitions/Challenges/12880446_FBAdC#1142236161_2HUJ2

    or this one

    http://bartlettphotoart.smugmug.com/photos/newexif.mg?ImageID=1142236161&ImageKey=2HUJ2

How I got to the second link is this way.

Either way your fine. I see the EXIF from the second image thumb.gif

Man! Several disqualifications this round and of course I like them all....

Prezwoodz - Natural Glass (Mastadon) - Added or photographed with a border that violates the "no frames" rule

CTigger - Look at Me! - Not a Dgrin user name that I can find

threyn - Liquid Color in Bronze - Not a Dgrin user name that I can find again.
