NOTE: Just a reminder this is the last round before the next Mega Challenge, it is your last chance to qualify for it this quarter, if you have not already.

Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge #70

Welcome to Round #70 of the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenges. This challenge is open to any Dgrin member.
It will run from Monday, February 7, 10:00pm PST time (GMT -8) on through Monday, February 21, 10:00pm PST time (GMT -8).

The topic ready for your interpretation: What you Love

This round is essentially an open round. Find who or what it is you love and show us your interpretation of that love.
Follow your heart and find the love in your photography.

There are no editing restrictions in this round.

Your Judge:
1 round 72 Hour Public Vote.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Your entry is to be submitted directly into a SmugMug gallery. It's pretty simple, just go to the gallery link below, and follow the upload instructions at the top of the page: Remember, the basics stay the same: 1 entry per person, and the photo must be fresh, taken during this contest period. Do not use a minimal save method (such as "save for web"), and your main EXIF will be embedded in your image, no worries!

To avoid disqualification, read, in full, the Dgrin Sharp Shooters Challenge Rules, there have been some recent modifications

Alright Sean, 71 had better be more specific! I'm horrible at interpreting.

Holay, this is gonna be a great challenge, with lots of interpretations...clap.gif
You're only as good as your next photo....
One day, I started writing, not knowing that I had chained myself for life to a noble but merciless master. When God hands you a gift, he also hands you a whip; and the whip is intended solely for self-flagellation...I'm here alone in my dark madness, all by myself with my deck of cards --- and, of course, the whip God gave me." Since you yearn for specificity, for you or anyone else who is struggling. Just take a picture of what you love the most. If that fails to inspire, anything heart shaped will probably pass off as votable mwink.gif

I guess I can't participate...my daughter won't let me take her picture anymore. She's had enough of me & my camera. rolleyes1.gifroflrolleyes1.gif

You know I'm just kidding, right?! Sort of, anyway. My daugher IS what I love the most and she really does hate for me to point the camera her way. It will take some SERIOUS bribing for me to get anything out of her!! headscratch.gif

I may have to find a lesser love.......mwink.gifwinkmwink.gif

yeah this is gonna be a toughie, but mostly for the choosing of what to photograph....I have a bunch of ideas, and may use this time to fill up the next 13 days of my photo a day .....hmmm

OK, so any male who takes this challenge, and doesn't make the subject his wife or girlfriend, will no doubt end up in the dog house. :D

And slpollett got lucky on this one. mwink.gif

When the wife see us guys taking pictures of our motorcycles, and cars, and asks what we are doing, probably the best answer is "Oh, these pics are to file for insurance reasons" or some such line of BS. We should probably have some other excuses chambered for other subjects as well. Dogs, bass boats, pepperoni pizza, etc.

It doesn't say "What you love Best", so I guess that takes us off the hook with our spouses and others!

.....and since we just did 'chocolate', I'm stumped!

Call him up and tell him you want to do a portrait session with him for an international competition. Maybe if you offer to donate the sitting fee to his favorite charity he might be glad to fly over? What is the worst thing that can happen? A no is better than a never asked.

Sorry I do not have his phone number. headscratch.gif

Laughing.gif He's about as close to personally using Twitter as I am to NZ. I'll have my people call his people. Alternately, if the rules could be bent, I've got some shots from previous tours I could use. rolleyes1.gif
