I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

I'm not sure how the big guy relates to fried eggs and ham.
Is it that he's NOT a lean mean machine?
Or is he the product of too much feasting on fried eggs and ham?

His shaved head has the same curvature as the yolk of the fried agg.
I'm not jscrawley but I doubt if the shot is a photoshopped effect.
Lots of Amish farmers around my area have goats just like this one - silly faces and silly ears. Goat milk producers?? I don't know. There is a farm with some similar goats right down my lane.

It's the teeth that make the shot and look unnatural to my city boy eyes.

The goats teeth do look rather human-like, but whether they are real or photoshopped I can't say. Never looked that closely at a goat's teeth, ! (and we have 'em around Farmersville...where I live, too!) ~Nee
Snappy, I loved >this< one of the light streaming through the trees. Awesome shot! Should be poster sized on your wall (or in a gallery!)~
~Nee :
Thanks Nee. I took that while in Connecticut last Christmas. Sun was going down and it was cold and misty. The leaves were all brown, the light looked cold rather than warm, so I went with B&W.
I like your shot too. You were looking right into the light. In mine, the sun was behind me so I don't have the center of light. The light just seems to disappear. I just love those mists. Great when you can catch them.:):
Well, Mike...for fake flowers, they look great! The lighting and composition are what make the photo so wonderful~
For Andy, I soooo much enjoy your glimpses of NY city life. I love the contrast of the beautiful tulips and the softly focused street scene in the background of >this< shot. There's so much life in the shot..you can just feel the pulse of energy! Love the off-beat angle, too. You rock!

Yup, those disks had definitely seen better days, lol! Wow, Stan...you're pretty fast on the draw! I waffled between the two photos and finally decided on the glass of water because I thought the farm equipment might pose a bit of a problem for follow ups. Thanks for noticing~

i thought the same when i saw it. and this one......i just love the echo of the shapes, the cowboy's seat, the horse's chest, the buckles on the cowboy's clothing, the breast plate on the horse...and then the same shape in the horse in the background......the whole image is very pleasing.

no way! Lean ham, single egg, no grease in the pan - only a little Pam cooking spray : .
compared to some of the food Andy has posted, I'm a lean, mean, posting machine. . .
:eat :bread :hotcake :lurk :spam :slurp

Thank you, Nee. Hope this doesn't spoil it for you....but they are artificial flowers. <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/eek7.gif" border="0" alt="" > :uhoh <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/headscratch.gif" border="0" alt="" > They are made of foam/rubber. Would like to reshoot with the real thing someday. Have to love that inexpensive kitchen table overhead lighting. <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6029383/emoji/rolleyes1.gif" border="0" alt="" > There are a lot more flower shots here :
