For those of us "attaching" images in the association thread you'll notice (see any of mine) I start my post with "/" some use "..." before attaching and posting. I've never gotten an error message.

I have wondered about you and others who always link. You must keep a truck load of images at SM.

Perhaps I need to organize my site better and use additional "hidden" galleries for storage?

Ang - SmugMug=Dgrin=disk storage no matter how you slice it

you can do it either way I was just wondering

Yes, I have many galleries that are "private" on my SmugMug site.. and you can still link from them.

Is that your primary storage location? Do you still maintain lots of folders full of images on your computer? You have a lot of duplication?

Primary: 500Gb HD on my Mac G5
Secondary: External 250Gb HDs, firewire attached (Nightly automated backups)
Tertiary: DVDs burned monthly
Quarternary: My stuff that's on SmugMug

Thanks, Angelo. 2301 is thanks to the pro Andy set-up at Yosemite - he showed us the shot. It made my brain hurt to think about landscapes the way he did - I was shooting far too tight beforehand.
