J Friedl's Smugmug Export Problem

I've been having a problem on export. I keep getting the pop-up:

Error response from SmugMug
Error reply from SmugMug: invalid login

This happened a few days ago for the first time so I downloaded the newest version after waiting for a while then it worked. Since about 9:30 PDT yesterday until now I haven't been able to update my galleries.

Anybody know what might be the problem?

I have tried several of the different uploaders that usual work and the say uploaded, then I go to the website and see the processing indicator and then a minute later the images are gone. ne_nau.gif

FWIW, I'm having a similar problem. Photos seem to upload fine from the uploader. And, to Andy's point, my Upload Log is full of errors.
    Emailing now!

I am also experiencing significant errors uploading.

10 of 21 images will upload. The other 11 just won't go, regardless of which uploader I use.

Me too. Seems to be uploading right now, but I had to load them three times, the first two times nothing happened, they just sat there. No error messages, just nothing. We'll see if it takes all the way.

I'm having the same problem. Tried several different uploaders, they all just hang and then the processing image thing appears, hangs forever and then everything disappears!

Rest assured, SmugMug is on it. You might have to apologize to your 8pm'er, but in my experience, people are understanding if you contact them soon and be reassuring.
I'm confident things will be back to normal soon.

Me too. I might be in a slightly different situation though. I've used Jeffrey Friedl's LR plugin for a long time without issue. A couple of nights ago it started telling me that my uploads failed because "Error response from SmugMug, Error reply from SmugMug: invalid login." That doesn't make sense because that same plugin is showing that I am logged in AND it was allowed to create a gallery in my site from within the plugin.

I went drag and drop for the couple of images I wanted posted the other night. It worked.

Tonight I had to try hard to get a few pictures up. JF's plugin failed again, so I decided to try the built in Lightroom / Smugmug Publish Services. Read the how too, selected the images to sync, and hit publish... and waited for an awfully long time to get an error that stated "some export operations were not performed. upload timed out (X)" I received this error several times tonight... every time for all 5 images I was trying to upload EXCEPT for the last time I tried it. That last time 3 of 5 failed. I should note here that while I was waiting for these images to publish, I noticed that they were showing on my site a the "processing image" thumbnails. After the publish fail, those thumbnails went away.

I then tried the drag-and-drop uploader, and that never loaded into my browser the first time. I tried again while typing this, and although it seems to have worked, the "verifying upload" portion hung for a long time.

I say "seems to have worked" because as of the time I'm hitting submit on this reply, my site is only showing 5 "image processing" thumbs, so I'm not sure what I'm going to get

    sysinfo:
MacPro / Snow Leopard 10.6.7 / Chrome 10.0.648.204. Speakeasy.net reports my connection speed at 13.5 down and 5.0 up.

I'm trying to use the LR plugin as well and I'm getting an invalid time stamp error. Anyone else getting that?

update - drag-and-drop upload, previously hung on verifying upload, has now failed. Gallery is now showing 4 "image processing" thumbs instead of 5. I'll live. I'm going to bed for the night and will check back tomorrow. Hope above info helps a bit.

I just checked the SmugMug status page at http://status.smugmug.com/. This icon on uploads says "The service is undergoing repairs." So smug is aware of the problem and working on it...

from what i can see from the upload logs, your uploads have been successful. We have a bit of a backlog of images to be processed...but the ones that are currently in the queue will be processed.

I've been having the same problem for quite a while. I actually switched over to the smugmug exporter which has worked better for photos but wont upload videos. I've only been able to upload them by dragging them to smugmugs add photo page. I'm interested in a fix as well.

We had some issues with uploading today which was mostly the cause of the problems that you were experiencing.

    Cheers,
