Great theme, and so many wonderful images here. First thing I thought of was my childhood rock collection, then this image I shot in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History of a variscite rock from Utah (behind a lucite display case.....)
This is my first quick challenge effort, not sure I'm uploading correctly. I got a message of a maximum of 1 upload, so I'll leave it at this shot for now.
The rocks in my garden fountain came from this beach! They now live on the East Coast and are beloved by the birds who come to bathe in my fountain. See my entry below!

For some reason I'm drawn to the rocky beaches! I always fill my pockets, bring them home and give them a coat of clear varnish. I've got them all over the house!

Note: My netbook is still on east coast time, but I sent this in California just before 9 pm so I think I made the time deadline noted in the first post.... The third photo didn't upload in time to post but at least I got two up! It was fun to have this mini in mind as we rambled around Hawaii, but hard to process and upload the photos while still on vacation!

When you come to a door... walk through it.
If it's locked... find an open window.
