It does it no matter where I connect. If I close my browser it makes me login again. Even if the box is checked..

Do you have your browser set to clear cookies on close?

Andy I do not clear cookies on any of my browsers, In chrome it is set to allow local data to be set. I last friday got a message box that said could not find authentication information. It has only happened that one time..

So you've tried connecting at a public hotspot with the same results? headscratch.gif

    Hey David,

Can you try something for me? Visit www.smugmug.com and login, then click the "My Homepage" option to be taken to your site. On arriving, you'll likely not see your admin buttons until you Refresh (which is expected behavior). Refresh and confirm you're logged in and seeing your admin tools and buttons.

Close your browser, wait for it to fully shut down, then relaunch it and visit your site directly. Are you logged in in say, Chrome? If you click Refresh at this point, when the page reloads, are you now logged in and seeing admin buttons?

    Standing by,

When I went to smugmug on chrome it did not show my homepage but to login. I did that and refreshed and the tool bars came up. I closed chrome, reopened Phabulous Photos. Did not have to reload to get toolbars which has not been the norm. I will check on my machines at home, this machine was WinXP and I usually have to login if I close my browser.

Can you check Mac Chrome, in the Tools (wrench icon on toolbar)>Preferences>Under the Hood>Privacy:Content Settings for this setting? https://img.skitch.com/20120202-fsiipgq6bq27p9cjnq9n7i2cgr.jpg

Also let us know which extensions you have in Chrome, and any security software that might be wrestling with this?

    Best,

Steve my Cookies is set just like the diagram, I have adblock plus, Forcast Fox, Google Voice, Google PDF/Doc Viewer. That is all the extensions that are enabled and I sync between browsers using chrome. ADBlock has been turned off for both Smugmug and Phabulous Photos.

I have an idea. Download a completely clean FF browser from portableapps.com. Try it and see what happens.

Now all of a sudden, starting yesterday, it is all back to the way it used to be, with me making ZERO changes. When I go to my site now it is my view again, without having to sign out every single time.
