Mini-Challenge #135 "People Who Need People"

... are the luckiest people in the world.

So find your photos that depict people interacting with other people. It should illustrate an interdependency that we have on one another. These photos should evoke an emotion in the viewer, whether joy, love, excitement, gratitude, etc.

You may submit one to three photos (taken anytime, not just during this contest period). The contest will end on Monday, January 23, at 6 PM (PST).

Entries will be judged on how well "People who need people..." is communicated by the photo. Emotional impact will be weighed highly as will any that tug at my heartstrings. Technical merit will be considered, but be less important than the preceding two.

Are short narratives appropriate, or would that be considered a crutch for the impact of the photo itself?

For this mini-challenge, it would be better to NOT have a narrative. I want the photos to speak for themselves.

OK... that would be interesting, and perhaps enlightening for me as to the impact of the photo on others... to see the photo and provide your own interpretation, and then compare that with narrative provided after the fact. Will do.

It's been a while since I've posted but figured I'd get back into the swing of things. I do a lot with my family, so here are my submissions. All the best in 2012 and can't wait to see what the lens will capture this year.

#1 - For our Anniversary we went out for a ride in search of a photo opportunity and these old vacant rail tracks caught our eye.

#2 - We attended my brother-in-laws wedding this summer and this is my daughter along with a family friend.

#3 - Grade 12 graduation with Granny and this image shows their true silly, goofy spirits.
